A family friend is doing our flowers–so that was an easy decision. Not sure how many florists my other married friends looked at for their weddings but it was definitely under 5.

    We’re wedding date twins! yay!

    I still have to find a florist…err….

I am hoping to only have flowers for the bouquets though…so hope that makes it easier..

    Good luck!

I only went to one, who had been recommended to me by my hairstylist. I liked the prices, so I booked!

i got proposals from 5 or 6 through email and met with the one i booked. i didn’t see the need to waste an hour talking to them just to get the prices. i thought about meeting with my top 2 choices, but i decided that one had better prices and a clear idea of my vision, so i met with her just to make sure we clicked.

I went to 3 with the same ideas and thoughts.  Then waited for their quotes back. I let each florist come up with a little of their own ideas but always sticking to similar products and sizes.

FH and I went to two.  The first one, the woman had no clue what she was talking about and she was there alone so every time a customer came in she would interrupt our appointment to help the customer.  She showed us these old fashioned books of bouquets and centerpieces and didn’t have anything current to show us.  My mom (who is easily irritated) said she had to go and left us there haha

The second one was the total opposite.  The florist had a consultation room where we sat quietly and looked at albums from her recent weddings.  She also had some bouquets in the fridge for a wedding that night that we could see and samples set up all around the room.  She took us through a list of items and we discussed which and how many we would need and what styles we wanted.  She was very upfront about pricing and which styles would work for our vision.  Needless to say – we went with the second one!

Our florist came highly recommended so we only met with her and went with her. We had planned to meet with another florist because ours was horrible at responding in a timely fashion but in the end we didnt and I loved our flowers so much…possibly my favorite detail about our wedding actually!

I think I went on 5 or 6.  I asked florists for the same exact thing and got prices ranging from $4K-$10K – crazy how prices fluctuate and people saw my vision differently.

I fell in love with the first florist we met with and she gave us some amazing prices. I also had a lot of girlfriends getting married around me so I knew the price range in our area.

2, one to discuss our ideas, second for her to show us her mock-ups

One. It was pretty much a no-brainer for us to choose who we did. 🙂
