i get about 11 every night. i know it is an insane amount, but i am on a couple blood pressure medications that just make me feel exhausted CONSTANTLY. I also am on bedrest, so I sleep throughout the day.

When you’re pregnant (and healthy) I think 8-10 hours a day is good amount. maybe an hour or two of those could be naps.

about 8 or 9 hours most nights.  I used to feel exhausted all the time in the 1st trimester but now I am 24 weeks and feeling almost like myself again aside from aches and pains

I go to bed sometime around 9pm, and wake up at 5:45 on work days, so that’s . . . almost 9 hours? And then you need to subtract potty breaks . . . so about 8.5? And I am exhausted today.

I am getting about 8 now. Going to bed at 10 and waking up at 6. During the first tri, I was falling asleep around 7 or 8:00 at night. Sometimes skipping dinner because I was so tired. I am still waking up about 4 times a night to pee, which sucks. I have been trying to exercise at least 3 times a week and I think it helps. Nothing crazy, maybe 30 minutes at a time.

Theoretically I get 9 actually, but if you count the number of nights I am up having trouble sleeping, peeing, and otherwise losing sleep.. it’s probably more like anywhere from 6-8. I am always tired, even despite getting this many hours.

I can sleep anywhere from 7 to 12 hours depending on how I feel. Starting next week when I begin a new position, I will be sleeping no more than 7 I can imagine. Thank goodness I am allowed to sleep a little on the job as I will be working long days.

Oh God, I’m going to sound insane compared to the rest of you! I get about 10-12 and I’m still exhausted throughout the day. I’ve lucked out by not having full blown m/s (just started dry heaving and feeling super nauseous at every smell and I’m 11 weeks), but I have major fatigue. I feel like going to bed around 5pm, but hold out till 10pm and wake up around 10am. I’m pathetic:(

@JewishBride: You aren’t pathetic! You’re pregnant! It does insane things to our body that we can’t help. Sleep as much as you need to! Your body obviously needs it 🙂

I feel like I can’t ever get enough either! I’m 31 weeks. I was doing well from 20-28ish weeks sleeping about 10 hours, only getting up to pee maybe once? But within the last few weeks, I get up to pee around 3 times a night! So even though I am technically sleeping 10 hours, with all the times I wake up to pee, wake up to roll over, wake up cause I’m hungry or uncomfortable – I feel like it’s more like 6 hours! I am always tired during the day and this last week I feel I wouldn’t have survived without an afternoon nap.

I  hope you feel better soon! Thankfully I’m only having to work 12-15 hours a week right now, so I have the freedom to nap during the day most of the time and it’s SUCH a blessing. But i know the days I can’t, I feel awful!

I’m going to bed around 10:30-11p.m. at 6 weeks pregnant right now. I just tried to nap unsuccessfully and I’m more tired than I was before. Tonight’s going to be a struggle to stay awake to celebrate with friends. So far, my sleep’s been okay with the interruption of constant bathroom breaks at night.
