@zippylef, whoa! I used to live in Ft. Walton Beach when I was a little girl. Beautiful beaches.
My man is 6 hours away by car, or 45 minutes by puddlejumper. The drive is far more common a choice. Long and tedious, but as someone else said, so worth it.

we live about an hour apart. not so major like most of you LDR gals, (and guys), but our work schedules make it hard to be together. we see eachother on the weekends.

At first we were: 18hr drive, 2.5 hr flight
Then we were: 3 hr drive, 45min flight
Now: 5 minute drive

We are a 2 1/2 hour drive (for him) or a 2 1/2 hour train ride (for me – I don’t have a car). When I was in still in school we were either a 20 hr drive or about 5 hours on a plane (with a layover). 2 1/2 feels like nothing now – we get to see each other almost every weekend.

1.5 hours… nothing compared to most of you ladies, but it’s still rough! What I would give for a mid-week date…

We’re about an hour and fifteen minutes driving.
Columbia Missouri (Mizzou) to St. Louis.
It’s really not that bad – I’ve kind of started liking the down time the drive gives me
