@MsW-to-MrsM:  Meh, I disagree, but I guess it depends on your social circle. My FB is strictly limited to friends and family, and I don’t add random people I meet. Everyone posts photos of what they’re up to, and it’s a way to keep connected. I have a ton of aunts who live out of state and couldn’t come to the wedding, and they loved feeling like they could be in on the festivities too by looking through the album. But I suppose a whole lot of my friends are old aunts! If my friend demographic was different, then I may have treated it differently.

I put up around 40 pictures, but I had some friends that wanted to see more.  I put up just the elements I wanted people to see and remember from my wedding.

On the other hand, I friend of mine on FB posted EVERY.SINGLE.PHOTO from her wedding. It was like 800 photos in 3 “albums”.  Such utter and complete overkill.  I clicked through a few but got bored after awhile.

I have one album with 114. It’s not like I’m forcing people to look at them all, or obnoxiously posted them one at a time. There were several people that wanted to see them and that was the easiest way. I have some “friends” that have like 800+ pics of themselves at bars so I can’t say I feel too bad about it.

I posted them in groups of like 25 or so and posted maybe 200 total which I know was a lot. But I too had way too many good ones to chose from. I had over 1000 pics on the cd.

You can put up as many as you want — it’s your Facebook! I think no matter how many you put up, people will probably still look at the same amount as they would otherwise depending on how close you guys are, etc. 🙂

25-50 or one of each type, which ever is less.  One make up, not one eye shadow application, one lipstick, one Blush, and not one of every bm too.  One hair, one or two posed, one walking down the isle, one at the alter, one cutting the cake… Etc

@jg780806:  Personally, I LOVE looking through people’s photos (yup, I’m a creep!) esp holiday and wedding ones, so I voted 400+ as for me, it’s the more the merrier! If I don’t want to look, I don’t have to.

@jg780806:  I have an album of about 150-200 of the edited photos we received. I have another 600 of non edited photos I have hardly looked at myself, let alone posted on FB! LOL

@jg780806:  Personally, I would post the pro pics of the major things.  Walk, kiss, signing, dances, dinner – keep it around 50 or so.  You don’t need to post multiples of the same thing generally.

As long as there aren’t 5 pictures of the first kiss, 10 of each dance etc I don’t mind.  It’s when I’m clicking through multiples of the same thing that I get annoyed!

Post however many you want! People who don’t want to see them don’t have to click through them. (Personally, I feel anything over, like, 200 is a bit much, but I still feel to each their own).

I like weddings and will click through albums of “friends” just to see how their day looked. I will agree that adding 5 versions of the same shot may be a waste of time, but whatever makes you happy!

@jg780806:  I can’t imagine posting more than 10.  We kind of want our wedding to be private and since 99.9% of our facebook friends weren’t invited to the wedding I don’t know how appropriate it would be to post the pictures.

If we do I would probably post 1 of each:

    • venue setup
    • first dance
    • cake cutting
    • cake table
    • a pic of me and my 2 close girlfriends
    • a pic of groom and his brother
    • a picture of us during vows

Maybe some others but I wouldn’t post 5 differnt pics of the same thing….which I would assume you would have to do in order to get 50+ shots
