I am really struggling right now because I don’t know how many maids is too many! Between my Fiance and I there are 4 sisters, all of whom we are are very close with so obviously theya re all in the wedding party but then where do I cut after that? I have two best friends from middle/high school (one of whom I went to college with too), and I have been in both of their weddings, my “grown up” best friend who we spend time with almost every weekend (and who has a husband who is already in the wedding party on his side) and my best friend from literally the age of 6 (who we still see a few times year but l;ives out of town). If I have them all though that is 8! Is that crazy? Where do we draw the line?

Remember that your friends are going to be with you and helping no matter what. Friends don’t need to be bridesmaids to help out. Also, remember that being a bridesmaid can be expensive. My best friend and I agreed that she wouldn’t be one of my BMs simply because she can’t afford it (is in grad school) but she still wants to help out.
Don’t limit your mindset to friend = bridesmaid or that the only people you can have with you are your bridesmaids.

I asked this exact same question a little while ago….basically everyone said “do what you want!”
If you still want to limit it down – you could just have your sisters – your friends should understand that.

It’s not crazy! I like small numbers, but everyone does something different! As long as you don’t have 20, I wouldn’t worry about it! You’re still in the single digits…go for it!

I have 6, and it seems to be a good number for us!
