How many items do you have on your baby registry vs # of guests?
I expect about 20 to show up and I currently have 73 items. There’s def quite a few duplicates and items ranging from $3 to $200.
And oh, there will also be a small work shower. When my previous co-worker was expecting the boss picked up the tab on a big ticket item then all the girls each picked up something small for her. There’s 8 females at work.

I had around 100.. I want to say like 103 on the BRU one and 12 on Amazon or something. We had 1 40 person shower, although 50 or 55 were invited and many who couldn’t come sent gifts. Keep in mind that what someone said on a previous thread (spring babies I think!) was true, most shower guests brought way more than one item. I think on average I’d say they brought 4-5 things, with the exception of the people who bought bigger ticket items. I think we have about 30 or so items left on our registry after the shower.

TY! Good to know how many items each of your guest actually bought for your shower.

I haven’t had any sort of shower, but the people who are buying off my registry are buying things in clumps of 4/5 as well. I guess all the hype is turning out to be true!

I have 43 items on my amazon registry and 40 on my babies r us, I wanted to keep them minimal so that I can be sure to get what I really need as opposed to just stuff I want.
I did register for a couple toys that I loved, but there were very few non-essential/would be REALLY nice to have items.
I expect 20-30 people at my family/friends shower, then my church group is throwing a shower for me as well, which will be another 10-15 ladies. So we’ll see if I get it all or not!

That’s how I feel too! I don’t want to put stuff on there just for the sake of putting things on there. I have a good dollar amount idea on how much I think people will spend. But who knows? But if I don’t put enough I’m afraid I’ll just get a ton of other stuff I don’t need or want off registry as well!
I’m def thinking about this way too much!

I haven’t made my registry yet, but I just bought gifts for 2 baby showers and usually picked up 3-6 items (depending on cost). I know for me, I like to make a theme gift – all items used at bath time, for example – so I’ll be thinking along those lines when I make my registry. And I always gravitate toward “cute” items, rather than useful, when I buy a gift. So I don’t think I’m going to expect too many “useful items” purchased off my registry and will use the completion bonus to get those.

I have 130 items on my registry and I’m using myregistry.com. A lot, but I started my registry as a placeholder for the things I want/need. There’s a lot of boobie stuff on there I plan to buy for myself. There are about 65 people we are inviting to the shower–of course we don’t expect 65 people to show up! I don’t even know about 20 of the people on the list! (My mom’s friends and some of my husband’s family that I’ve never met).
I might have a small work shower. And there are people who have asked us where we are registered who aren’t invited to the shower, such as hubby’s co-workers and family scattered throughout the country. I don’t think we’ll get everything, but we’ll get most of it. I already purchased 2 items on the list myself 🙂

@regberadaisy: eh I wouldn’t worry about it. I knew keeping it minimal wouldn’t be an issue, because a lot of people in my family (great aunt, grandma, aunt, mom) are all very crafty/sewers/etc and always makes stuff instead of buy things, so I know I won’t get much off the registry from family, just friends. I’m not too worried about getting things I don’t need, as long as I got what I needed and those extras were just extras then it’s not a big deal. Most places you can return them, especially if they were bought with your registry.
