well, I ordered my dress in July because they told me anywhere between four to six months for it to be ready. I picked it up yesterday and it is sitting in my guest room closet until March

I picked my dress up in February, but took it in for alterations in July.  I will officially pick up my completely altered dress on October 19th, the Friday before my wedding

I picked mine up the week of my wedding, as did my sister for her wedding.  If the alterations were done sooner, the salon would keep it in case you needed last minute alterations.

I picked up mine 2 weeks before the wedding.  It came in about 2 months ago and I could have done alterations then, but decided to wait since I didn’t know if I’d be gaining or losing weight.

I also only had a 9 month engagement and didn’t order my dress until 6 months before the wedding.

depends where you get it!  I got my dress at davids bridal and they don’t “store” dresses for you.  I picked mine up in march and brought it back earlier this month for alterations….

I’ll be picking mine up from the alterations lady three days before the wedding! My last fitting is the month before, but she’s keeping it for me and packing it for travel. My dress was actually ready from the bridal shop in July, but they brought it directly to the alterations lady for me. So, despite ordering my dress in March, it won’t spend more than 3 days in my house.

I picked mine up 2 months before the wedding. Hopefully my measurements don’t change too much from then to the wedding. I had no choice since the boutique was 5 hours away and it was the only time I could get free to do all the alterations.

I picked mine up on the way to the rehersal.  My place told me they wanted the optimal fit and recommended getting it altered at the last minute.  It was a perfect fit.

I picked mine up the week before my wedding… only because we had to travel to the wedding state. Then I dropped it off to be steamed and picked it up the morning of my wedding. If I had had an in town wedding, I would have picked it up day-of.

My dress stayed at the bridal shop for alterations then went to get pressed.  Its being delivered to the hotel the day before the wedding so I will not be taking it home until after the big day =)
