8 months to the day… just the way it worked out. We started planning immediately because we knew that the ideal time for a number of reasons would be early March. It was fast, but not too hectic, and we got lucky that our first choice venue had a cancellation for one of the two Saturdays we could have our wedding.

I had exactly 1 year, but waited 2 months after getting engaged to start thinking about it. We were engaged shortly before christmas right as we were scrambling to handle gifts for everyone, baking, various busy tasks, etc. I couldn’t wrap my head around spending so much $$$ at one time, so I paced myself.

we had about 13 months from the time we set the date. We will be engaged for 2 years by the time the wedding is here.

We got engaged in March, booked the venue in late April and will be getting married July 19, 2013. 16 months of planning, although we are almost done… I even have my dress in hand… so I wish the wedding was tomorrow. 😛 haha on the bright side. One year out! 🙂
