aconnor82:  My understanding has always been that they are a DJ so they must know how to do their job if they are a professional. Plus I figured they’d be easier to work with if I gave them more free reign (I wouldn’t be the bride who has 100 must play songs). That being said, I had a few songs, fewer than 10, that I had to have played. I also gave them a guideline about what genre of music I wanted. For instance, I asked that only 60s and 70s music be played until the last hour of the dance and then they can take requests and play whatever they wanted. They were thankful I was so easy to work with.

We probably gave him 10 or so songs for dinner, and for dancing. But we also just let him know what specific artists we like to give him some more room. He sent us his typical song list beforehand as well, so we were able to pick and choose from that. In the end, the dancing songs didn’t matter because the power went out 6 songs in!
