we’re not doing an aisle runner because our ceremony is outside and I don’t want to trip on it while walking over the grass. I considered one because i don’t want my heels to sink into the ground, but I realized a runner wouldn’t stop that anyway. We might do petals and candles on either side of the aisle but I havn’t thought it through all the way yet.

We didn’t use an aisle runner. I loved our church and it had really pretty stone floors so I didn’t want to cover it up with a piece of fabric.

No aisle runner….but we will be lining the aisle with stanchions draped with pomanders and tulle and rose petals along eash side of the aisle. The floors are slick hardwood and there really isn’t anything to anchor an aisle runner to so it’s slippery. I would hate to see my sister (the bride) and our dad fall due to an aisle runner adding to the slickness =)

We got married in a garden and I thought an aisle runner would look out-of-place there.

Not going to have an aisle runner either.  The Chapel I’m using has concrete floors, but are designed to look like large slabs of slate.  Besides why pay for something that only gets one use.  My flowers at the chapel will be used again at the guest book table at the reception.  I can’t have petals either, but I’m fine with that less cleanup.

We’re not using one either– we’re getting married on a yacht and it would look weird.

No aisle runner for us!  I actually don’t really LOVE how they look (now those petals lining the aisle – those are awesome!).

@nmsoonerbride: Um, do I see that pic right? Does the floor just DROP right behind where you will be standing?!??!?! If so, please be careful!!!

No aisle runner for us. I’m way too much of a klutz.

I didn’t use one.

I was in a wedding where the aisle runner was taped down and a bit plasticky–it made a plastic sound with every step we took on it.  On the way back out, the bride accidentally got some tape on her shoe and was sticking to it. Oops.

I opted for no aisle runner but i was also outside in the grass… that was not perfectly level… so i really thought it would be more of a hazard but I made some Petals runners for the side
