I have just had my Fiance and my wedding bands engraved on the inside.

Mine says ” – Faith – Hope – Love” (from the passage of St Paul to the Corinthians)

His Says – “Love is a River” (from an old song FI loves that talks about Love being the River that joins each of us on the banks- my Fiance is a country boy 🙂

Our wedding bands are both engraved with “8.4.13” – our wedding date.

It was important to us to have something timeless in our rings that had individual significance about what our marriage meant to us, something that we could look at and remind us why we got married in the hard times.

We are getting married on the Spring public holiday weekend for the Eastern states in Australia and intend on celebrating our anniversary on that weekend, regardless of the date each year, so we don’t need the date inscribed in our rings.

My fiancé actually suggested this the other day. He said we should take each others and do it. The first thing that came to my mind is me looking to see on wedding day and it says “you better…”

Forever ago… This is A thing

    him: I love you

    me: I love YOU

    him: you better…

    we shall see…lol

I’m not sure what i will engrave in his but something unique to us as well

I would really love to have our wedding date engraved in ours, I think it’s so cool to see antique rings from the 20’s with the date engraved on the inside! &maybe something unique to us. we will get them done after the wedding when I get those little gold ball things put inside mine to keep it from spinning 🙂

I really want to engrave his wedding ring with “your my favorite”. He says it to me all the time and i’ve always thought it was sweet. I am his favorite person, and he is mine. It’s a saying between us so i think he would love it. It’s almost like a secret love note. It’s to cute!

@MissSweetiepie:  I agree, it is awsome to see antique rings with engraving on them. It always makes me wonder about who owned it and what their lives must have been like.

I have “plus q’hier” (more than yesterday) and he has “moins que demain” (less than tomorrow) which is somewhat of a family tradition (came from a family heirloom pendant, not wedding rings)… I really love the sentiment!

We don’t have our wedding bands engraved yet because we actually don’t have our wedding bands really. My wedding band has to be custom made to fit around the swirl of my e-ring and DH’s band I don’t really like it so I’m going to upgrade him and engrave that one as a surprise on our anniversary.

I had my husbands wedding ring engraved. My wedding band was engraved with the date we got married but that was before it was sized..once it was sized the engraving was gone but I didnt really care so much so I just left it

He gave me an engraved locket (“I heart you”) that I never take off, so I won’t be engraving my rings. I will probably get his engraved though. I don’t know whether to use a line from our wedding song (“you belong to me”) our inside I-love-you (“I heart you”) to match my locket, or our wedding date.

@MiJeS1104:  I’m getting a plain gold band to match his so we can have those two engraved. My diamond pave band that I’m currently looking out has no room between the metal stamp and the designer stamp for engraving. It’s only about 1.3mm wide, so I’m surprised they even fit that stuff.

All in all, engraved bands are so special to the couple that I can’t see us not doing something so simple and fill of sentiment.

both of our engagement rings say “My Hunnie” on the inside. I asked FH what he would want. He says probably just the date. So maybe it will be something like “Hunnie Bear 9.21.14”. 19 characters. Mine will say “Hunnie Bee 9.21.14” 18 characters (including spaces)
