ClassicSunrise:  I met my husband when I was 30. Totally random and out of the blue. I was at a point in my life where I was open to people but not really looking. I was happy and contented with my life and career and then I met him. It was kismet.

My first date with my fiancé was when he took me out to dinner on my 30th birthday!

ClassicSunrise:  I met Darling Husband a couple months shy of turning 30, but Darling Husband was just shy of turning 32 (our birthdays are 5 days apart). So, not after 30, but I think it still counts.

When I finally met Darling Husband, I was 31 (nearly 32) and he was 29.

I had a handful of relationships that lasted less than a year, it seemed that just shy of a year was enough time for me to feel like I’d given the relationship a chance before deciding I didn’t want to waste anymore time with the wrong person.

I went through bouts of dating in between relationships until I got fed up with it, then I’d take a break for a few months before trying again.  I had all but lost hope when I got a message one day from my now Darling Husband.  I remember thinking, wow…. he actually sounds decent, but don’t get your hopes up.

Within 2 weeks of dating, I knew he was the one!  Fast forward to today… it’s 3 years later, we’re married and expecting our first child in just over a month – my gut was definitely right ๐Ÿ™‚

I met my SO a month before my 30th birthday , three months after a bad ending to a decade long abusive relationship. He is the best risk I have ever taken. We’re going to be getting engaged around Christmas (he has the ring!!) and married Summer 2017.

We met when we were both 31. My Fiance is divorced but I am a first-time bride. When we get married, I’ll be 32 and he will be 33.

I often laugh because a few of my girlfriends have given me advice like “enjoy married life for a few years before you have kids” etc. I always say, I wish I had the luxury of meeting my Fiance when I was in my 20s but it didn’t happen that way – we both had mistakes to make before we could be together!! Not saying I am old but we want a good number of kids so we want to get started pretty soon after the wedding ๐Ÿ™‚

ClassicSunrise:  I technically met my Darling Husband when I was 27 but we didn’t really talk to each other very much and I didn’t really pay much attention to him since I was in a relationship at the time.

We eventually got together after I had turned 30. He was 33 at that point. Its kinda funny how things turned out, he apparently went around to his coworkers the day we met and told them all “one day I’m going to marry that girl!” Lol…he wasn’t lying ๐Ÿ™‚

ETA: things moved fast after we got together…we started planning our wedding a month or two into the relationship, officially engaged at 10 months, then married after 2 years.

I met my Darling Husband when I was 34, we started dating just under a year later, and got married when I was 37. He was so worth the wait!

I also met my husband after 30- I was 32, about to turn 33!  I am honestly so thankful that I met him (I’d had several years of dating in which I felt like I couldn’t really connect with anyone, etc.), so it was so wonderful to meet someone and feel that “click” that everyone describes.  After looking back, I’m also very thankful that I had so much time to be single, to figure things out for myself, etc.  I think that really helped me be ready to meet the one.

I did! I was 1 week from my 36th birthday when I had my first date with my now fiancé. We got engaged 3 months after I turned 37 and will have our wedding 1 month after I turn 38. Still hopeful for a baby.

ClassicSunrise:  well technically we met when I was 23… but we didn’t “re-meet” until I was 36 so I’d say that counts!  so did two of my best friends by the way!  love after 30 is fantastic!

ClassicSunrise:  I first met my fiancé when i was 19 years old. We had a mutual friend I worked with at a coffee shop. We apparently always had a thing for each other (or at the very least, we were attracted to one another) but we never hooked up back then because he seemed to always have a girlfriend. That said, we were never very close friends- more acquaintances with mutual friends.

Fast forward 12 years. I was 32 and he hit me up on Facebook and offered to make me dinner…we ended up going out for drinks instead with a group of friends. That first night, we hung out all night and just held hands. He made it clear he wanted to see me again and we kept just hanging out (it was around the holidays) so the very first time we actually kissed was at a bar with some friends. That night, he gave me an Orrefor Crystal Ornament and we had sex while trying to watch Christmas Vacation multiple times.

we became an item shortly after that night…
