I’m with you too OP! I never wear my ring to sleep/ clean/ exercise/ shower/ put lotion / cook/ bake. I just can’t bear to dirty it or scratch the band. Or worse, should one one of the side diamonds drop loose. It would have been impossible to find- which has happened before.
In other words, as it seems, the only time I wear the rings is when I head out. If I have a plain simple band, I would most probably keep it on throughout.

I take my ring off when I’m doing anything with large amounts of water (besides hand-washing) like dishes, showering, etc. or lotion. I sleep with it on, though. And if I’m doing most of the chores I’ll leave it on (dusting, picking up, vacuuming etc). I rarely worry about it.

I take mine off to sleep, clean, shower, go to the gym, hike, swim, etc. When I take it off I put it in one place at home so that I don’t ever worry about losing it. The salesgirl at my jeweler said I shouldn’t wear it 24/7. I also have a plain tungsten band that I will wear whenever we go camping or when we go on our late honeymoon.

I love it so much I can’t take it off for anything! 🙂

I usually take my ring off only when I do major cleans that require gloves bc the rings will rip the latex, when cooking things that require me to use my hands to mix, showering bc I don’t want it falling down a drain, and lastly when I put lotion on bc the lotion gets in the grooves and smudges the diamond.

I sleep with it on, but take it off to do dishes, shower, wash face, brush teeth, lotion up, etc. It’s snug in the morning, but during the daytime it’s a tad bit loose. So I don’t want to risk it falling down the drain.

I sleep with it on, shower with it off as it is a little too big for me

I take mine off for sleeping, showering, lotioning, working out, cleaning.

I do all those things with my ring off, especially sleep. Otherwise I would end up with a rock shaped hole in my face in the morning. 😉

I take my Ring off as soon as Im at Home. Its off all the time unless Im hosting a party or something. I suppose Im just paranoid. The bottom of my band is already getting scratched up, its driving me nuts. There is insurance on the Ring but the idea of losing a diamond down the drain or smacking it, bothers me… But I think its just newbie worries lol

I only take mine off to make meatballs or bread. Wouldn’t want that surprise in a biteful! Plus how gross would it be to clean the dough out…Otherwise, my rings never leave my finger.

I only take it off in the morning when I’m doing my hair because I don’t want to get hairspray all over it. I take advantage of that time to let it sit in my jewelry cleaner. Other than that I always wear it. Oh! I’m a veterinarian so I also take it off when I do surgery lol. That’s it.

I sleep with my ring on, partly because of my paranoia. If the house was on fire, would I remember to put it back on as I’m running out the door?
I do take it off when cleaning, showering, applying lotion/hairgel, and cooking messy things. I haven’t been swimming yet, but I would take it off for the beach or pool. My jeweler told me that the people who lose their rings are the ones who make it a habit of taking them off.

I take it off to shower (gets caught in my hair), when I sleep (my fingers tend to swell at night so its really uncomfotable), to put on lotion, and OCCASIONALLY when cooking. Otherwise it’s always on my finger. I used to take it off to wash my hands but I wash them way too much and it just got to be a hassle plus I came to the realization that water and soap is not going to damage it. Not anything bad enough to where it couldn’t be cleaned.

Never. We have hard water and that would make a mess on my rings. Not to mention them getting gunked with soap and stuff.
And sleeping in them can loosen prongs. It is a good way to lose stones.
