I almost never take mine off. The only thing I’ll take it off for is putting lotion on, and even that sounds like a pain. Haha, mayba I’m just lazy, but I also think maybe other people are a little over cautious with it. Besides, if i take it off to do all of that, 80% of the time I’ll just forget to out it back on and then I’d end up not wearing it a lot. I would be interested in seeing a chart of how often girls take off their ring from their first few years having it to woman who have had their ings for years. A lot of older woman say they can’t even get their rings off of their fingers anymore 😛

@WannaBeeMrsB:  Exactly… Haha I’m very forgetful. I would loose it if I took it off every night, every time I cleaned, ect.

I don’t sleep, lotion, or clean with my ring on.  I also take it off when I’m cooking something messy or when I wash my hands at home.  I have 3 ring boxes – one by my bed, one in the kitchen, and one in the bathroom.  Those are the only places it ever is besides my finger (hence the washing hands with it on when I’m not home).  I wish I could sleep with it on.  It makes me sad to take it off every night, but I don’t want to scratch finace!

WHOA! This poll surprised me. I can’t believe so many people do all these activities with their ring. I take my ring off for just about everything and definitely don’t sleep with it on….ouch! I have even thought that I want to get a cheap stand-in ring to wear for everyday use so I can preserve my e-ring for special occasions like going out.

I take my ring off right when I get home! As clumsy as I am, I try to minimize the amount of damage I can inflict on it! Also, I do not want to accidentally scratch myself while I’m asleep! Lol.

*crap, just finished dinner w/ FI*  I need to revise my stance in that I’m weird in that I take my jewelery off completely (necklaces, rings, etc) right when I get home (due to hypersensitivity on anything rubbing up on my skin), or I leave everything on all day for days at a time.

The more you take it off, the chances you have of losing it!

I can’t sleep with my ring on because my fingers swell when I sleep and it becomes extremely uncomfortable and painful but I keep it on for showers and I wear it at work and putting on lotion and stuff (unless I’m in a careful mood)

I sleep with my ring on, but I do remove it to shower, or if I have to use my hands to get dirty (like forming hamburger patties with raw meat, for instance). It’s an unusual-shaped ring, so kind of hard to clean out the nooks and crannies of it! 🙂

I always wear it, no matter what. I couldn’t imagine having a ring that wasn’t comfortable to wear during daily life. I’m more paranoid about taking it off and losing it.

I sleep with it on, but i remove it to shower and to put on lotion because i have a lot of micropave and i don’t want it to get dirty so quickly. I just bought a ultrasonic cleaner, so I will start cleaning my ring at least one a week to keep it super sparkly!

I take off my ring when I shower, wash dishes, workout, put on lotion and clean…other than that, it stays on.

Very good question! I have a pave band in my e-ring so I don’t wanna get lotion in the cracks lol. I take it off at night, put it on only after I’m showered and ready and take it off to do dishes, cook, clean and so on. I get yelled at by Fiance and family. They say i’ll lose it. I am very careful but just to be safe, I bought a ring holder. It’s a bunny and you place your rings over bunnys ears. Super cute! we can both use it.

Maybe I’m silly but I want to keep my ring nice and new and shiny. Don’t wanna get crap on it.

so far, it’s only been coming off for lotion, and that’s just because i don’t want it messing with my sparkle factor. everything else? sleep, shower, clean, it’s ON! plain platinum band with a solitaire diamond. this puppy was built for a clutz like me 🙂
