Working graveyard I have a lot of time to think about total random stuff….
How many of you speak more than one language?
I was fortunate (or unfortunate, depending on how you want to look at it….) to have moved to the United Stated from Spain when I was 16. I am now completely fluent in both languages which is pretty damn cool.
I am working on my Arabic since my Fiance is Syrian but it is the impossible language to learn…. and I’m taking Italian lessons because I already can undertand it well, but I have always wanted to speak it.
Anyway just curious!

English is actually the second language I learned, I also speak Mandarin. I would LOVE to learn how to speak Spanish though.

MrsPiggles: My country has 11 official languages which are all regarded equal by our constitution. The languages are different depending on which part of the country you are at and I can speak at least 9 of them well. They are mostly national languages though so I cannot benefit from them internationally apart from English, but I can sure benefit in my country.

I’m from Brazil so I speak Portuguese! Also I speak English and decent Spanish
I tried to learn French and Italian (since I have Italian citizenship too), but I think they’re all alike so whenever I try to speak them, I mix the two of them!

soontobeMrsBoo: Chaedra: MeandMyLouboutins: French is the one language I couldn’t handle. I took it for 2 years in school….. and I failed miserably…..
archi_bee: One of my friends is from Brazil (Rio), we spent a great deal of time with her family so I picked up a lot of the language. It is so similar to spanish though, I agree with what you are saying, it is really easy to mix them all up!
