Hi just wanted to see if I am getting enough fluids to stay hydrated. I have been drinking a lot of water and still have 1-2 pops a day just because I really like pop. But I am pushing the water and some juice – with minimal to no sugars. So how many ounces of water/ fluids are you drinking while pregnant?

newbabybee: About 80-100 ounces a day, that’s all water and 1 cup of coffee (not juices or soda).
Check your urine. What color is it? There are online urine color charts that you can reference to see where you are at. Urine is a good indicator of hydration.

newbabybee: I drink about 70-100 ounces of water per day, and about 8 ounces of orange juice. I work out 5-6 days a week, so I try to make sure that I’m always hydrated. As the PP stated, urine is a great indicator of hydration-clear/light yellow usually means you’re hydrated. I think if you aim for 8 glasses of water per day, you’re good! 🙂

I think I drink around 70-80oz of water a day. Plus 8 oz coffee, 8 oz orange juice, and I’m trying to work in 8 oz milk (but I keep either forgetting or remembering but the idea of it makes me feel more nauseous).

I really think this is all about your urine and everyone’s different. I say this because I’ve never been someone who needed a lot of water…I always have had to force myself to remember to drink and am rarely thirsty. With that said, when I was pregnant, I found that I did best with 64 ounces of water (not counting juice, coffee, etc.) per day. I tested this by the color and frequency of my urine.

I’ve usually been able to get 8 cups a day plus some OJ in the morning. Some days its harder, and my midewife wants me to get 50% more.

SaltedCaramel: That’s my trouble too, I am lactose intolerant. So I supplement 3 servings of yogurt/day.

I drink at least 60 but try to get closer to 80 plus a huge cup of tea in the mornings (only one tea bag )
