We had 3, but our e-session was spread out over 2 days. On day 1 it was wicked hot and humid, there was a power outage that affected several of our planned shooting locations, and a street festival that blocked off another planned location. Our photog was awesome and suggested that we re-schedule to get everything on our list.

Dressy: me- killer heels and an awesome blue dress, him- khakis, buttondown, tie, dress shoes

Casual: me- brown sundress, wide belt with embellishment, espadrilles, white shrug; him- khaki shorts, white button down, tenners) (note: if your Fiance changes into the wrong color shirt and you end up with light and light, don’t “just roll with it because he’s getting a wee bit crasky in the heat and you are close to all out melt-down mode yourself.” You will blob together in photos and this entire part of your session will look like crap.)

casual: me- purple print maxi dress; him- blue and white checkered buttondown, khakis, tenners

We did two outfits during a two hour engagement session.  I dressed up a bit for both (that is “casual” for me, though).  I think one dressy and one casual is good.  It may depend on how long your photographer is booked for and how many locations you are going to!

These aren’t my fav pics but show our outfits the best 😉

@S2013:  thank you!  I haven’t been able to wear it much recently (not work appropriate LoL) so I’m glad I worked it in for the engagement pics 🙂

I’m planning on doing 1.5. We will be doing ours outdoors in the mountains so I want to wear jeans and black dressy coats. Then hopefully brave the weather and take the coats off and I plan to wear a black shirt with a green/gold scarf. My accessories will also be gold.

@elysion:  Obsessed with your outfit in the second picture!!!!!

OP We did 2 outfit changes during our shoot (which lasted about 3 hours) any more than 2 and it would have taken away from the time we had to take photos.

Just one,  for us.  It was actually a mostly cloudy day, but we both agreed that our sunny-day goggles looked better than the low-light ones. An we ditched our helmets in favour of hats: we both actually had a fair bit of wardrobe anxiety leading up to the shoot, and that’s without really having many options!
