Fi and I waited until this month to take our engagement photos, so that we had nice fall scenery. The photos are tomorrow morning, and I only have one outfit. I was wondering how many of you did your engagement shoot without a wardrobe change. Should I try and scrounge together a second look?

I just had a second shirt. We both wore jeans.

I wanted two outfits so that I could have a dressy and a casual one. For one I wore a dress and a cardigan, and the other I wore jeans and a cute top. Fiance wore one outfit, but rolled up the sleeves on his dress shirt when I changed into jeans…it made him look more casual 🙂
What’s the outfit you already have?

I only had one outfit. Fiance brought a change of shirt. I wish I had brought at least one other shirt.

I just had one outfit, but it was the middle of winter and we did some indoor/outdoor pics so in some I had a jacket on. So…2 outfits? IDK, I voted one. I don’t think I would’ve liked doing a clothing change.

I had a dress and then a jeans/shirt combo. Fiance had on jeans but had a dressier shirt and then a more casual shirt.

We did a lot of outfits (I’m the 4 or more vote), and I definitely recommend having having a 2nd outfit. Even just having a change of shirt and shoes/boots will create a visual difference in your photos. Easy switches like hair down to hair up, different jewelry, adding a scarf or a vest/jacket, etc., will create different looks for your photos, too. And goodness forbid you sit in something or a bird decides that your shirt is a great target. I always like to have a backup.
Our thinking was that if we had a variety of looks in the photos, we’d be more likely to display them more (since we’ll be in the same outfit in all the wedding photos).

My fiance and I just had our engagement pictures done a week ago and I debated the same thing. Our photographer let us choose two locations and as many changes as we wanted. So we had planned to have two changes for each location (changes in top but kept the same bottom (jeans). On our way to our second location, our photographer saw a spot he wanted to take pictures at as well so we ended up with three locations and luckily my fiance and I brought a few tops (we’re undecided on the pairing of our tops with one another) and also used our fall jackets in some shots. I guess my advice would be if you have seperate locations, you can create some different looks or moods with the locations. I would recommend atleast 2 different looks. Have fun with your pictures!
