We hosted an after-party at the restaurant at the hotel our guests were staying at.  There was a Margarita’s there, so we spend a little cash on loads and loads of nachos trays and everyone bought their own drinks.  It was a huuuge hit!  And if I remember correctly, it cost us less than $150!

We did and it was great. Our AP took place at a brewery right across from our venue (a resort where a lot of our guests were staying) so those who wanted to keep the party going were able to stumble back and forth without the risk of driving. Our reception ended at 11 and our AP went on until around 2am. We ordered some beers and appetizers and hung out. It was a lot of fun.

I really want to, but I don’t know where to do it.  Our wedding is in a fairly small town.  ๐Ÿ™

@BoiledPNut:  Any local bars? That’s all we did. The brewery part was closed so we just hung out in the bar. We didn’t reserve anything prior but we practically had the place to ourselves. It was awesome. It also didn’t cost us a penny. We planned to treat our guests to a few rounds but they ended up treating us.

@UpstateCait:  I actually looked around after seeing this.  I think I found one!  Their website didn’t have the hours, so I emailed them.  Hopefully it’s open late!

@BoiledPNut:  I did the same thing. They normally close around 11 since that’s when the bar dies down but they agreed to stay open later for us. They were actually very accommodating. Good luck!

We kind of did. Almost everyone was Out of Town so we asked the hotel to keep the bar open. We also ordered a few trays of hot apps for people that were hungry and they were put out in the bar area.

We also had a ton of alcohol left over from the wedding so my Brother-In-Law took that to his room and lots of people went there.

We didnt stay at the bar long however, but everyone had a great time from what I hear.

Our wedding ended at 1:30am so we didn’t feel an afterparty was necessary.  I know some of our friends partied in their hotel rooms but Darling Husband and I made a beeline for our hotel room.

We are having one. We’re planning on just having anyone who wants to meet us at a club an hour after our reception ends. Around, 11pm.

We had an informal/impromptu after party at an Irish pub.

We’re thinking about going to the bar afterwards, but we might be wiped!

we have a room reserved with its own bar at a local ale house a few blocks away from the reception and hotel.  it’ll be no host, but we will have enough room so we don’t have to worry about being squished into a bar!
