I bought my dress on Monday night with my sister (MOH). The next day I was so excited I showed the picture to some of my coworkers, and my 2 BMs. I showed them the internet picture of the model wearing it. That same day I tell my sister and she starts telling me that no one is supposed to see the dress because I have to wow everyone on my wedding day. This thought never even crossed my mind before. I guess I saw it as sharing something so exciting with some friends and overlooked the surprise factor. But I’m not planning on wearing the dress for anyone to see me before, or even pictures of me wearing the dress.
Did I do wrong…?!

I’ve shown the picture of my wedding dress online to pretty much every female that is coming to the wedding! lol Once I bought the dress I kept getting calls and emails to see what one I had picked. I think I am going to look completely different than the model so I’m not worried 🙂

I’ve shown a ton of people, too. The only one I’m worried about impressing with the dress is Fiance. 🙂

Pretty much all the women who are involved in the wedding. I don’t care who sees it as long as Fiance doesn’t see it until the wedding day.

My mom, Future Mother-In-Law, bridesmaid, Future Sister-In-Law, Maid/Matron of Honor, aunt, and friend have all seen me in the dress, live. More have seen me personally in the dress in photos.
Doesn’t bother me!

The same thought occurred to me recently. Not just with my dress, but with all aspects of the wedding, I started to feel like I’ve been oversharing & no one will be surprised or wowed by anything on the day of. In the end, though, when people ask to see stuff, I get excited that they are interested, so I show them anyway, lol!

My mom was with me when I tried it on. I’ve shown pictures of me in it to my Maid/Matron of Honor and two other female friends, plus I posted them here. Finally, I showed pictures of it on the model to Future Mother-In-Law, Future Father-In-Law, and Future Sister-In-Law. I haven’t hidden the name of the style I chose, so a few other people have gone and looked up the model photos themselves.

I’ve shown it to pretty much all of my female friends, and not just the picture of the dress on the model, I show them a picture of me in the dress! I am just excited and don’t care if friends see it before the wedding. The only person I care about suprising is my fiance.

I bought my dress online. I’ve shown pictures to my bridesmaids and one or two coworkers that asked about it (and Fiance before I even bought it but he’s already forgotten what it looks like). The only person who has seen it in person so far is my mom.

@SerenaSF: I agree.
I showed my dress to a bunch of girls I work with (most of them won’t be invited to the wedding) and 3 of my bridesmaids and my mom were with me when I tried it on. I also showed it to FI’s mom and sister (my MOH). I probably won’t show it to anyone else because I kind of don’t want everyone and their mother’s to see it but I agree with most of the girls. The only person I really care about surprising is Fiance.

Mom, Dad and the 4 BM’s have seen it. But that’s it.
I’ve also shown the picture to various vendors, my hairdresser, my dentist etc. … basically people who won’t be there or be involved.

Just the people who were there when i bought it. My mom, 2 sister and my one sisters boyfriend. I gusee my seamstress seen it to if she counts. I want to keep it a surprise for everyone else.

Only my Maid/Matron of Honor and 1 bridesmaid have seen it, and this fine Hive! 🙂 I want to keep it a surprise. There’s been so much drama to begin with, specifically dress drama, that I am just tired of everyone’s opinions (read: my parents!) 😉 So, dialing down the drama and just saving the wow for the big day.

Everyone besides Fiance has seen a photo of it on the model, I just pretty much forced my little brother to look yesterday 🙂

No, not at all. Seeing the dress in a picture is nothing like seeing it on you when you’re all done up on your wedding day. Some people are anal about no-one seeing the dress but I’m certainly not one of them. Hell, I even showed Fiance pictures of ME in the dress to see if he thought it looked as good as I did (and he does!). All together, I would say probably a dozen people have seen the pictures of me in the dress. This includes my 3 bridesmaids, my mom (who was with me when I chose it), my aunt, Future Mother-In-Law, Future Sister-In-Law, another aunt and cousin (my mom showed them the pics) and my 2 co-workers.
