About 10, maximum, although this is probably also due to the fact that we’re having an intimate 60 guest wedding. AND I live FAR FAR away from my family who live in Florida, Georgia, and Indiana. But the nice thing about a small bridal shower: we’re doing it at Postino Wine Cafe in Phoenix… amazing mimosas and no trouble finding seating for a biiiiig party.

Like @AzinAugust, our wedding is small (around 60, too) with most guests & family Out of Town (about 80% of guest list are travelling at minimum across the state, most more than that). My shower guest list may not even reach 10!  But then, with the small number, we’re able to afford something pretty awesome: my Maid/Matron of Honor & friend are planning an in-home chef to “tutor” us (we’re all married, except for me!) on how to host a dinner party & plan a menu…by example!  A personalized dinner party…I’m excited.

Probably around 20.  I don’t have a lot of living female family members on my side.  In fact, my mom will be my only family member in attendance.  The rest of the guests will be bridesmaids, friends, my MOHs’ moms and FI’s female family members.

@Azinaugust – it sure is a lot! But my mom comes from a family of 16 kids and my dad from 10 – and we’re ALL close. Plus my FI’s mom is throwing me one for their family and family friends. And the last is by one of my BM’s who is throwing us a co-ed showers with one of the guys in our nursing class or mostly school friends…. but we’re also inviting around 260.

we ended up having about 50 people invited which i felt awful for because that’s just more my bridesmaids ended up having to pay for, but i have had such a hard time controling the size of the guest list in all ways because of my future mother in law… it has been the major stressor of the whole process. 2 1/2 months away from the wedding and she asked me last week if she could add 16 more people to the guest list. i give up lol

Mine is about 50….I’m only having one shower (his side of the family has only a few women that actually live close by….rest live out of state or another country).  I have a lot of cousins and other family members….more so than friends.

    Shower #1 with DH’s family: Around 30

Shower #2 with my mom and bridesmaids and friends: 8

The first one was too overwhelming. Probably b/c I didn’t really know more than 5 people.
