We booked the second one we met with, having done a lot of research online. I wouldn’t want to meet with a photographer unless I really loved their work, so I hope you find someone!

We actually met with just one.  We were going to meet with more, but we liked her so much that we decided to book with her.  But Fiance and I did extensive research online before selecting a few photographers we wanted to meet with.

I have me with 2 so far. One I really liked their work, but absolutely loathed their personality & lack of professionalism. The other was super friendly & pretty well awesome, but I was kinda luke warm about the prtfolio.

I am hoping to meet with 2-3 more & crossing my fingers that one of them will just click.

We met with 4. We really liked the first guy, the second was a complete no, the third set we loved so much, and the last guy FH liked and I didn’t really.

We ranked them, and my ranking looked like this: 3rd, 1st, 4th, 2nd

His was: 3rd, 4th, 1st, 2nd

We just really liked the third set of photogs (they’re a newly-engaged couple!) as people, and we only met with people whose work we liked, so it worked out well.

Four in one 3 day weekend. We booked one of them, and we probably should have chosen a different one or possibly spent more money, but if we had spent more money I may not have gotten my video that I’m trilled with.

We met with 4 photogs. Before hand, we wrote up the questions we were going to ask, and agreed on which criteria were really important to us. The 4 that we met with were all in our price range and we knew that we liked their initial work.

Here are some tips though, (1) Ask to see a gallery of one entire wedding. Most times on their website or blog, you only see the best ones, which is fine if you only want 5 pictures…but I’m guessing that we all want way more to represent our day. (2) Ask how many weddings they do a year. The answers we got ranged from 5 weddings to 50 weddings. This is important because it shows you the priorities that they have (covering more weddings, versus covering less so they spend more time making edits). (3) Personality – we really loved one lady and she made us laugh a lot. But we realized that her personality may be too extreme on a very emotional and sentiment day, so we picked a couple that was more subtle and ones that we can feel blend into the background without being too commanding.

Good luck!
