just curious. i have received thank you cards in the past from weddings with anywhere from 1 – 5 photos (well the 5 is because i was MOH). but even as a regular guest, i got about 3 photos in a card at least once.
i just want to know what other people do. i started another thread here as i am trying to choose between two photos.
And even though the votes are going one way, i just want to get people’s opinions on including more than photo of the bride and groom in a thank you card. I am thinking about putting two.
My reservations on doing this is does it make me seem presumptuous or narcissistic that i think other people want all these photos of us?
so i just want to know what you think/feel as a guest when you receive a thank you card with more than one photo. and how many you included in your thank you cards!
Oh and cost is not really an issue as i am printing at wal-mart and i only have 23 cards to send out, so it shouldn’t be too expensive to put two per card.

We did one on the front of the card and three on the inside top (horizontal 5×7 card). They were printed on the card, not separate photos. We didn’t do photos in addition to the card.

The front of our thank you was a picture of my husband and I on our wedding day. We included about 3 additional pictures in each card – we had 2 group pictures (everyone who came to our wedding) and then a picture of my husband and I with that guest(s). We went table to table during the reception and our photographer took a picture of us with each guest/ family.

I’ve never received photos in a thank you card from a wedding… I’ve always just received a thank you card with a personal note.

@Loribeth: oh interesting, i have never NOT received a photo! then again, i also received registry cards with pretty much every invite, so i thought it was normal/expected and so I did the same! it was like 3 days after i mailed my invites i came on here and discovered what an etiquette breach that was and was so mad at myself!
but i *think* i don’t have to worry about it being bad etiquette to include a photo with thank you cards…..or do I?

I plan on including one 4×6 of bride/groom and one 4×6 of the couple. We had a small wedding with mostly couples so we have pics of each couple.

Yeah. I’ve never received pictures in my thank you cards before either. I did get a thank you gift from my friend when I was in her wedding but that was a separate from the thank you card. She gave me a cute picture frame too. Nor did I send any in my thank you cards. (I think you should add a 0 option) I do think this is a good idea and I would have tried to do something like this. Although I didn’t get my photos back until 3 months after the wedding. It would have been too late to send out thank you cards at that point. I think it would be a good idea to put them in christmas cards or send them out whenever you get them back. Although it might get expensive if you have to pay lik $15 per photo. I got a cd with all of my photos so I could have printed them out. I have thought about sending photos out but it’s been almost 2 years after the wedding, and it’s too late to do that now. haha

Our Thank You card will only have the one picture on the front. But that’s also b/c we did it specifically FOR the thank you card. lol

We had 4-5 pictures on the front (not all of us though), but no seperate pictures included. 🙂

@ttn133: ok, i added a “none” option!

I didn’t vote because I didn’t include pics, but instead made a photo card that had 2 pics on it. I’ve also never received pics even when I was in the wedding. I think it’s really nice to do, but not expected. I would include 1…of me with the person.
I loved how the photo thank you cards turned out! Pretty cheap and quick.

@JaneyD: for the people that actually were in Jamaica at my wedding, i am also including the group shot we have of everyone (there were only 17 total) and as well a couple of individual pics of just them or them and us at the wedding. but for the rest of the cards I need to send to people who gave gifts, but did not attend, i am including a pic of just me and my hubby – just need to figure out if i am including one or two!

I’ve never received a thank you card with a photo – not a printed photo inside or even a photo thank you card! We just did normal handwritten thank you cards with no photos.
