I think 800 is plenty. Our photographer takes about 1500 in total and then pares them down to about 500 edited ones. That seemed like a lot to me so I imagine 800 is good! 1200-1500 seems like a lot?

I ended up receiving 886 pictures from our photographer.  Our wedding was also 5-11 and in one location and it was plenty of pictures to choose from.

I have no idea how many images were taken, but we received about 760. It covered all of the major happenings during the day. We also had ceremony and reception in the same spot.

We got less than 200 non edited 🙁 So either option sounds amazing to me! 😀

I find it completely odd that they charge by the number of images you get. So does that mean that if they shoot 820 amazing photos, their going to just not show/give you 20 of them just because it wasn’t included in the package??

On average we deliver 100 images per hour, for two photographers.

Mine gave us 800 photos and they were all edited.  Those photos included the second shooter.  I think it’s a lot for him to take 800 photos on his own.

I think it’s a worthwhile expense, especially because the second shooter took pictures of me and my dad before we walked down the aisle and my photographer was at the end taking shots of my husband.  The second shooter did a great job and the photographer can only be so many places at one time.
