@beck2325: I just posted the same question a couple days.

I have 220 that are all edited and color-corrected. Still not as many as I thought and would really like more.

Are these unedited pictures or have they been retouched?

For engagement pics I went with a young up and coming photographer – we had around 50 edited pics. For the wedding we decided we really wanted someone who knew what she was doing! We paid quite a massive amount of money (almost 4 times what the girl with only 2 years experience was going to charge), and we just received 740 fully edited images from the wedding!

I almost wish she hadn’t sent so many – it is taking us ages to get through them and it’s almost impossible to narrow down the ones we like best!
She took at least a couple of thousand pics, so I can’t imagine how she was able to sort through them all!

I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do with them all! Most wedding books can only take 100 pics max! And there’s no way I can afford to print all 740 of them just to have hard copies!

I had 500 on the nose. Minus what my shutterbug family and friends took.

We had about 440 edited pictures with about 420 different ones (the other 20 were duplicates just done in black and white or another effect).  I thought it sounded like so few compared to other people on here but we have pictures of pretty much everything we wanted (minus things that were our fault for not remembering).

I think we got back between 600-700, its been a while so I’m not sure of the total anymore! I also thought that wasn’t a lot, but I guess it just depends.  We also had our epics done by the same photogs, and got about 40 back

We got over 900 and I’m so glad!  I love having so many details and feelings caught in picture!  ๐Ÿ™‚

I guess it depends on what package your photographer offers.  We got about 700 professional + 400 that friends and family took. I thought we had too little, but others above thought that was too much. haha!

We didn’t ask for edited pictures, only for a DVD of all the pictures so I could edit them myself.  We received around 2500 pictures plus around 200 photo booth pictures.  All in huge file format.  I’m lucky I’m a very patient person!

We received 250 images from our 2 hour engagement shoot with 3 photographers, and they were fully edited images.

For our wedding we had the same three photographers (who work as a team) for 8 hours and we ended up with 1000 fully edited images on a disc. A lot of people say that you just get a lot of repeats, or ones that are blurry etc with that many, but in our case that isn’t true. I can’t remember a single image being a repeat of another and all of the blurry/people with closed eye shots have been removed by the photographer so that the 1000 that are left are only good shots.

I don’t think the number is quite as important as whether or not you feel that your memories were all captured. If you are happy with the photos you have then that’s awesome, but if you feel like things are missing then I would try contacting your photographer and see if they had any more that might cover any gaps you noticed.

It’s been 12 weeks and I’m still waiting on my photos….so I don’t know how many yet. In our contract it states 100 photos per hour of coverage and we had 7 hours, so we should get 700~give or take a little. 100 sounds low, but if you love the photos you received I’d take a 100 wonderful photos over 1000 crappy photos. Quality over quantity. Can you ask the photographer if they took additional shots they didn’t send? Another option would be to ask guests to send you their photos.

We got back about 1500 pictures over 8 hours from getting ready to the end of the wedding.   A LOT are very similar and multiple shots of the same poses and stuff with just a slight difference though.
