I have a pit mix and a lab pit mix (both males) and they are my babies. My lab mix has more lab in him, but you can still see the pit come out a bit the older he gets.

Proud pit momma right here!

Even though I vowed to never be a “pitbull parent” I inherited a large male pitmix when Fi and I moved in together. Fi has had this dog forever and he has proven himself trustworthy around our children. He is very patient and loving. However, condisering he is an older dog, I always keep in mind that a once patient dog can become intolerant to toddlers. Therefore, I am always nearby when my children are around him and I make sure they don’t annoy him too much!

We probably will be as soon as we are living somewhere that allows pets. 🙂 I’m an avid rescue parent and a dog trainer, and I love pitties!

I’m the proud parent of two brindle female pitty/staffy mixes.  They are best friends – seriously, they even cuddle together in one bed, despite each having their own.  Olive, is our short, meaty, fun and funny Staffy. She often makes noises that sound like a cow mooing. She loves to play in the sprinkler! Vespa is actually a pit/greyhound mix.  She is fast as a bullet, silly and very sweet and loving.  Vespa loves to run all around the back yard but mostly spends her time trying to sit on our laps.

Previously, I rescued a pit that had been used asa breeder then fight bait then left to starve to death or die from infected wounds.  Roo was 7 when rescued, was the greatest dog in the world, without any sense of revenge for what she endured, often letting my nieces and nephews sit on her/poke her/ use her as a pillow.  She lived to be 15, and really was the love of my life, other than the FI!  I’d have a herd of pitties, but our house is small, furry as is (we also have two cats) and we are happy with our current balance!  We have had a great experience with the breed as owners.  It’s nice to meet others with a love for the pitties!

Maybe for our next furbaby. While she’s a total sweetheart to people, our little girl is highly dog aggressive due to not being socialized properly when she was younger (before I adopted her). She’ll be 13yrs old this July, and I’m hoping that she’s one of the lucky ones that gets to 20! When we’re ready to adopt again, I have my heart set on a couple of pitties so that they have each other’s company. Moses, the dog I wrote about a couple of weeks ago, was a pittie, and he stole my heart.

Not an owner but I have many friends with pits/pitmixes and I love them. Sweet as can be. They just don’t realize they weigh a ton and when the jump on you it’s like getting hit by a truck lol. They just want to be loved!!

@beeble2121:  Thank you. I love Hugo’s ear flop. FH calls it his fancy ear. It’s the only one that lays like that sometimes.

We have a pitbull shepherd mix thats about 2 years old.  I wanted a german shepherd, Darling Husband wanted a pitbull and we found our baby as a rescue!  She was only 12 weeks old and seemed like it was meant to be.  Now she is my best buddy, and snuggles up in bed with us every night!

Yep! We have a pit mix and she’s the sweetest dog ever! I had 2 Golden Retrievers growing up and our pit is just as great of a dog. My Fiance got her from the pound when she was 6 months now she’s almost 11!
