- Wedding: October 2013
Yet another logistical question from a plan-a-holic Bee.
Currently, we have 178 people on the guest list (182 including vendors that will need a place to sit for the reception/dinner) for our wedding on 10/12/13. 68 of those people are out-of-state guests, who may or may not come (some have already said they will, but we won’t know for sure until September).
I’m trying to decide how many of our place card holders to order (they are doubling as favors). Because we are planning long-distance, they will go to my FMIL’s house, and she will mail me the place cards that come with them so I can fill them in after we’ve received RSVP’s. SO, I need to decide soon how many and get these puppies ordered!
How many should I plan for? I found an equation online to estimate how many people will come:
(# of out of town guests * 65%) + (# of local guests * 90%) = total # estimated to attend.
Which means mine would look like:
So, according to this equation, I should expect 147. Should I just order 150 place card holders? Or more, in case more people RSVP? I don’t want to have to waste money, if I can avoid it.
Here they are because they’re so darn cute. 🙂
