@PomPom I am not too concerned about handling the 4 registry’s especially because our Pottery Barn one wouldn’t be too large. I’m just nervous with people thinking we are being too pushy or pretentious registering at so many places as if we are expecting to get soooo many gifts. My Fiance is coming in town next weekend so we are going to go check out the four places we are interested in registering at. Then we are going to see how many items would overlap or if we really need the 4.
Oh and to those that mentioned the location We only have a small handful of out of town guests and STL has all of the stores we would register at so there will not be a problem with people getting gifts from the stores.
Thanks for everyone’s opinions!

C+B, Macys, and Michael C. Fina. I shop almost exclusively online, so I wanted something with that option (to do my registries, initially). Luckily, C+B and Macys brick-and-mortar stores are close by to my family!

I think four is too many and you’ll end up getting a lot of things that don’t go together. If you have all of one type of item (say, your bedding) at a store that no one really ends up going to, then you might not receive any of those items.
I think Macy’s is a good pick because there is a Macy’s everywhere, people are used to shopping there, there are a wide range of prices.
I think you should also register at Williams-Sonoma OR Pottery Barn since your mom gets a discount there. But if only your mom will be shopping there, then it probably doesn’t have a wide enough appeal to include it. Pick whichever you think is more accessible.
Add Crate & Barrel if you like, but remember that you will probably then only get some things from each list and might not get your list as completed as you would if you registered at less places.

We did Macy’s, Crate & Barrel, Bed, Bath & Beyond, & MyRegistry.com (some of our guests wanted to gift us champagne and our honeymoon suite). I also set up a site to donate money to a cause.

3. I registered at Anthropologie (frou-frou plates, glassware, bathroom stuff, etc) solely for my shower, and also Crate & Barrel and Target for the wedding.
