pinkdiamonds87:  My engagement ring has stones that are .05 and my wedding band has stones that are .04.  I feel like they look the same size as each other diameter-wise, but maybe that’s wishful thinking.

By the way, does that mean they are 5 points and 4 points respectively?  Just trying to figure out how points work when it comes to diamond weight.Wedding_Set

No idea what the points are… it’s 9 stones and I believe it equals .9 carats… so I guess that makes them 1 point a piece? My center stone is a 0.9 carat

fetchbetchhh:  if you have 7 stones at a total of .7 carats, then they are 10 pointers, not 3

Your ring is beautiful!! I love colored diamonds!

My band is about 3ish mm wide & is a 3/4 eternity band. Someone here has an oval diamond with similarly shaped sidestones and has one of those cross over bands for her wedding band. It’s beautiful! Hopefully she makes an appearance!

Here’s my set. The shoulder stones and wedding band diamonds are  3-pointers. The engagement band has 10 .03s (+ .3 tcw) in it bringing the actual total up to 1.1 tcw and the wedding band has 12 .03s (.36 tcw).

fetchbetchhh:  I didn’t mean to nitpick, I just thought that people were going to use this thread for specific numbers, so I wanted to make sure they got the right info. Enjoy your ring, it’s stunning!

weddingwtf:  Hmm well I think my e-ring is 2.2 mm at it’s thickest point but my wedding band is definitely thicker than that… maybe 3 mm

My band is 14 stones at about 0.025 points each so 0.33 tcw.
