I’m trying to estimate how many programs I’m going to need. Did you make one for each guest? One for each couple? Family? We’re having 200 people at our wedding and the thought of making 100-200 programs is overwhelming! Can I get away with less?

Yes you can get away with less! I made enough programs for each person but that was only because my programs were fans and I knew my guests would want to use them. Had I not done that I probably would have only made 75. Many men do not care about having a program. And dont forget to subtract your bridal party members from that number too!

We were initially going to average one per family/ couple. But I really wanted to put the programs on their chairs, and since we didn’t know where everyone was going to sit, we ended up making one per person minus the BP (which was like 60, so not too bad.)

We made WAY too many. I had 210 guests. We made 200 programs. I think we had about 80 left over. My mom was mad because she tied all the ribbons on them!

Thank you all! Very helpful – I would have never thought to subtract the bridal party and that’s 15 people right there!!

TOO MANY. lol. I made them before RSVPs came in so I had way too many… but we ended up putting 1 per chair

That is so great to know I can get away with less! We are going to have them in baskets when you walk in the Church, since there are pews I don’t have to put one on each chair. @butterflybee we are date twins!
