How many readings are you having (or did you have) in your ceremony?
What are your readings or where are they from?
I am having my grandpa perform the ceremony and he will do his own little blurb/reading about marriage and I am having FI’s dad do a reading from C.S. Lewis. I am debating adding in another reading but I don’t want to overwhelm the crowd and make them bored.

@kateisstoned: 3 including the gospel, which will be read by the celebrant.

The four traditional ones: Old T, New T, Gospel, and Responsarial Psalm. Plus the bidding prayers, if you count those. I don’t, really, so that makes four.
If you’re after the number of readings for a secular ceremony, maybe you should ask about readings for a specifically secular ‘do? You might get better responses, because it will differ!

We’re just having one – it’s called “Union” and our officiant/minister will read it. Anymore reading and our ceremony would probably be too long.
