Zero.

I guess possibly 1…if you count bachelorette….but that will just be going to dinner (and maybe a club) in LA with whomever can come into town a few days before the wedding.  And I’m pretty much planning that anyway.

I didn’t really think about add’l wedding-related parties before I came on WB.  The only ones I ever saw were like on Bridezilla and those always turned out  to be a hot, hot, mess, so I thought they just did them for the show to make the women look even more crazy!

We had an engagement party.  There will be a bridal shower and a bachelorette party (more like a nice dinner – per my request – I didn’t really even want that, but apparently I’m having one).  My Fiance will have a bachelor party with the guys (nothing to raunchy though).  That’s more than enough for me!

i’ve got 4.  3 showers and our friends are throwing us a “stock the bar” party too!  add to that the bachelor and bachelorette parties and i guess that’s 6 lol!  moneypenny, you’re bridesmaids aren’t planning your bach party??  that’s a major part of their job!  what about your fam throwing you a shower… i’m sure they will.  my friends always said people will come out of the woodwork offering to throw you parties and it’s true!  actually, maybe we can say 5 because we’re combining the friends shower and my bach party because most of my bridesmaids are from out of town so it makes it easier for them.  the other 2 showers are family related.  these next few months are gonna be fun times!!

@Kemi – As for right now, I’m in school & don’t have any close friends here.  I do have some friends here, but unfortunately the wedding is going to be pretty small, so I have pretty much had to decide to not invite any of my grad school friends so that none of them take offense. Plus I dont think anyone would think to throw me a shower, even if they WERE invited.   I have a small family at home (where the wedding will be and where I will be over the summer), but my family is helping pay for the wedding so I wouldn’t expect them to also throw me a shower.

In terms of bachelorette–I don’t know…I just feel bad expecting other people to do things for me or putting demands on them and their time.  I already feel bad scheduling it on a Friday (my wedding is on Sunday) b/c it means my out of town friends will have to miss an extra day of work in order to come.

I wasn’t planning anything but when my aunt found out, she offered to host a shower.  So I’m having the one ladies shower and having a girls night out that night while some of my girlfriends are in town.  My fiance is having a bachelor party that sounds like its gonna be pretty fun.  Almost wish I could go to that!

Future Sister-In-Law asked me how MANY I wanted. My reply: “Don’t I just need one and my bachelorette party?” lol. So, idk yet!

We only had a wedding shower.  No one wanted to throw another one.

i think it’s going to end up being 2, on the same weekend–a shower that my fmil and her best friend want to plan, and a bachlorette party that my moh is planning.
