Recent posts have made me curious as to the number of songs played when walking in and out to either the ceremony or the reception and how much of each song will play. Will each couple have their own song? Each group of people? All for one and one for all?
So, what are you doing? How long will each song play roughly? Are you editing to play only a certain portion or starting from the beginning?
Also, feel free to share the songs you’re using!

Fiance and I plan on walking in to one song and out to one song and into the reception with one song. If they need a cue that the brides on her way, I’ll have the officiant make some sort of “please stand” gesture. Maybe try timing it to where I’ll walk in at the start of a chorus. Although I assume once the bridal party is on its way people will be paying attention to who’s coming next. I just prefer hearing a whole song as opposed to a blip of it.
We’ll be walking in to “Make it With You” by Bread, out to “Make it Wit Chu” by Queens of the Stone Age, and into the reception to “Smells Like Teen Spirit” by Nirvana.

@HonoraryNerd: We are having one (rather long) song for the groomsmen and bridesmaids to walk in to, then another for just me.
Everyone will recess out to the same song.
I don’t think we’re doing a big entrance so that’s n/a.

Same song for walking in, but that’s just the girls and me. The guys will enter from the front. And we will all walk out together to the same song. We are definitely not doing a grand entrance though so no song needed there.

We had 5 songs total.
4 for processing in:
- my brother (who was the officiant) and the guys – they all came in from the side
- my SO’s parents and my mom (who was escorted by my other brothers)
- our ladies
- my dad and me
We all walked out to the same song.

We had one song for the parents, Darling Husband, and his groomspeople and then another song for the bridesmaids and me.
For the recessional and the grand entrance we had one song for everyone.

Missed a vote-same recessional song for all.
