Kacie209: I did a ton of scoping for my own dress trip this weekend, lol. The Wedding Shoppe is great – my sister bought her dress there and they definitely have the largest selection in the cities. Also consider Rush’s in Minneapolis – they also own NetBride. If you’re looking for a higher end bargain, try Brides of France consignment. They have a limited selection but great quality dresses. My big find was Bride to Be Consignment in Bloomington. They have so.many.dresses. Fab prices.
Re: Bella Bridal, I’ll be going there too. I’m taking the appointment with a grain of salt because I’ve heard mixed reviews. Our Shop didn’t strike me as being a place I wanted to go, honestly – $$$ and a big focus on MOB/special occasion rather than bridal.
I didn’t check out Raffine in Woodbury, but could be a good option. They just moved to Woodbury and carry some of the slightly pricier gowns.

Well, so far I’ve been to 6 and I have yet to find the dress. I also have appointments scheduled at 4 more salons in the next month. It’s a blessing and a curse to live in a metropolitan area with tons of options :/

MoonlitMagnolia: Great information!! Thank you so much! 🙂
I was doing searches for the estimated cost of some of the brands that both Our Shop and Bella Bridal had, and I think they’re over my budget so I will probably not go to either. I mainly wanted to go to Our Shop cos they carried a Jasmine Couture dress that I saw in a magazine and loved… but knew I wouldn’t want to pay what it probably costs.
I will have to add the Bride to Be Consignment to my list to check out, as well as Brides of France when I’m there next weekend.

Kacie209: Four. #1 – Private bridal salon nightmare on a Friday afternoon. #2 – Alfred Angelo and a wonderful experience at that on a Saturday morning. #3 – David’s Bridal nightmare on Saturday morning. #4 – Private salon again but this time, awesome and on Saturday afternoon. Found my dress at #4. Two days of dress shopping, 4 stores and done.

3 stores. I probably tried on around 18 dresses total. I didn’t buy my dress the first time I tried it on. I took a week to think it over, and then went back to the salon that had my top two. Trying them both on again cemented that I loved what become my dress.
