I took nine of them!  Ha!  Two of which were blood tests!!  After trying for 6 months, I guess I was a bit anxious!  Ha.  That, and it was equally exciting to see that 2nd line every time!!  πŸ™‚

After I told Darling Husband the news he was sad he didn’t get to see the test change to “pregnant” with me, so I had to take another one for him!

I only took the original 1 on my own but then I went to Planned Parenthood to make sure and took one there, then at the Pregnancy Care Center I had to take one in order to start classes on prenatal health, and the one at my OB’s office made 4 total but I was done and convinced after just 1.

I took 9 pregnancy tests at least when I got pregnant with my daughter. This time I took 3 total. One drug store cheapie, one First Response, one digital when I was like “No really… seriously?!”

I took a test the following 2 mornings after my bfp, but decided I would drive myself crazy if I kept comparing them so I stopped. I’ll take one once in a while (I’m 12 weeks pregnant) just to see the double lines:)

I took a LOT. I even have this pic of them all lined up and getting darker. I have the pic on my phone, so now when I have the urge to take another one, I just look at the pic.

I took 3 right at first, and then because I was so scared of miscarrying, I’ve probably taken another 10 through out my pregnancy. Nuts I know.

I have taken 12 so far. They reassure me and I had stocked up on wondfos for tcc. I am insane!

Ummm….ten, maybe eleven [sheepishly hangs head and slinks away]….

I had just received my very first shipment of wandfos in the post the day I took my first test, which I thought was negative, but later turned out to be a positive.  Two days later, I got a faint positive and ran out to buy a digital test which confirmed it.  I continued taking a test every day for the next week and a bit to make sure the line got darker every day.  Fortunately, we moved right around that time and Darling Husband packed away my tests and told me I was done.  I haven’t taken one since.  16 weeks along now and I’m fairly sure I’m pregnant  πŸ™‚

Three – two right when I got my BFP (strip test and digital) and took another strip test a few days later while my HGC results were pending.  Having had a prior miscarriage, I knew if I kept testing I would go nuts.

Just the one!  I didn’t think I could actually be pregnant and was afraid to test.  So I didn’t test until my period was a good 5 or so days late.  The line was so instantanious and DARK that there was no question whatsoever!!

@Audreysdance: I’m about at that number. I bought some Wondfos to get me through to my first prenatal appointment. It’s next week and I saw the heartbeat last week. I should really stop taking them considering that the m/s is picking up and my appointment is coming up where I get the full workup. Last night, I threw up at dinner in a restaurant with tons of intense smells and barely ate. Oddly enough now, the morning sickness is more reassuring than the tests.

Um. 3-4 every day for the first week, 1 a day for the second week, every other day for the third week, and 1 during the fourth week, then I had an ultrasound and saw the heartbeat and stopped. So yeah, a lot. A whole lot.

But I had a previous miscarriage, and was terrified of a second one, and seeing the dark line pop up so quickly was really the only thing that kept me from being a stressed nervous wreck until my OB appointment. I know seeing them wouldn’t change anything, and I might still see them even if I had a missed miscarriage, but it helped keep me relatively calm nonetheless. Plus the majority of them were the cheap Wondfos that I already had, so I wasn’t spending $10 a pop on a test every time.
