We ordered my ring online. He proposed shortly thereafter!

I hadn’t seen my ring until he proposed so zero for me. You’re going to see your ring lots once he proposes so just hold out a while longer. It will make it more special when you get that ring on your finger.

You’re not crazy. I remember the time between being sure I was going to be engaged soon and having the ring on my finger— torture! I wouldn’t make a habit of it though. If you want to go back one more time to make sure its “the one” (since it seems your bf is letting you choose?) I say go for it. But then just do your best to be patient and not go back again. You’ll get to see it all the time soon enough once he gives it to you!

Hehe my ring is from my grandmother. I must have tried it on a thousand times during my life 🙂

I saw mine 3 times. The time I found it, the time I brought a friend, and the time I showed him.

I would have a gone a bunch more times but I didn’t want them to think I was crazy, lol. Try to limit yourself. It’ll be more special if you haven’t seen it in a while.

My ring is “hiding” in my bedroom.  I try it on usually once a day!  Hehe…

I wasn’t expecting him to propose so it was a complete surprise.  I’m not sure that I would have tried the ring on constantly if I picked out the ring/knew (it’s his great grandmother’s ring) when he was going to propose.  But to each their own in the end.  I don’t think you’re crazy.  But I definitely wouldn’t continue.  You’ll want it to be completely special when he finally does propose.  🙂

@mlb032488: I can imagine being completely excited about it.  Especially because it’s a gorgeous ring. 🙂

Oooh, good taste! My Fiance had mine for about a month before I got it, and he hid it very poorly. I found it almost immediately, because he stashed it under the bathroom cabinet where I keep some well…lady products, lol.

Once I found it, I probably tried it on about ten times? It was under the sink that was removed from the bathroom, so whenever Fiance was napping or out of the room, I would sneak in the bathroom to try it on :). I think trying it on actually makes it more exciting.

For the sake of the jewelry store employees, lol, you might want to try to keep it to a semi-minimum, lol. Maybe you can go back under the guise of wanting to try on wedding bands with it to see how they match :).

@mlb032488: No problem!  I love the promise ring! Vintage looks are the absolute best.  I plan to have a wedding dress that represents a sort of vintage look.
