snowlovingbee :  We have two. The bigger one is in the living room. We have an open space floor plan so we can see the living room tv from the kitchen and the dining area as well. Then we have a smaller one in the bedroom. Sometimes, my SO  watches also from the desktop.

We have 4, and are going to get a 5th soon:

one in our living room (used 90% of the time – I keep it on as background noise during the day but it is off unless we’re sitting down to watch it while Darling Husband is home)

one in the bedroom (used mainly when one of us can’t sleep or is sick – maybe once a month)

one in our office (used mostly for playing video games on the rare occasion Darling Husband wants to – maybe once a quarter)

and one on our back patio (used when we have people over, which is fairly frequently.)

We’re going to move the one on our back patio to the garage and get a slightly bigger one for the patio. When we entertain, which is frequently during college football and NBA, we typically move around from inside the house, to the backyard, to the garage (where we have darts and cornhole set up) so having TVs in those two locations is mostly for entertaining and we don’t really use them unless people are over.

snowlovingbee :  I grew up in a household where we had tvs in every bedroom and the den/family room. It’s just hubby and me so we one in the living room and one in our bedroom. I don’t think there’s one “right” number for tvs per household. Just depends on your preferences.

We have two TVs, but a bazillion computers and tablets, which we use just as much (if not more than) the TVs. I feel like we’re far too much in the habit of letting it blare all day long. I’ve been trying to break this habit, but I like having background noise when getting ready in the morning or cooking/tidying in the evenings.

1 TV in the main room. We dont buy tv packages, only Netflix so we never have it on unless we are about to watch a show or movie in the evening.

snowlovingbee :  We don’t have any TVs. We generally stream shows and movies from websites like Netflix, Hulu, HBO, or VUDU. And we watch them on our computers.

We only have one. We don’t have cable and we exclusively watch netflix or stream movies/shows. We used to have a tv in the bedroom that I took w/ me from my parent’s house when I moved out for college, but we literally never used it (like we watched a movie on it in bed once like 3 years ago) so we sold it a few months ago to a friend.

We only have one, which is mostly used by Darling Husband to watch the news in the evenings.  Our kids and I watch TV on our laptops and iPhones.  The major use of our TV is to share our phones or laptops screens.

We aren’t big TV watchers. Just one in the living room, not even a big one. When we buy a new house, we will get a bigger one, but will never have multiples.

I only had one until I got married, and now I have two: one in the living room and one in the bedroom. I mostly use the one in the bedroom to have the news on in the background while I am getting ready for work in the mornings.
