We had an awesome OBGYN- she had a couple ultrasound machines in her office, and played the videos on a big screen tv. She even recorded the video on dvd and printed still pics, so every month when I went for my checkup she would do this. She was the best! Of course I had the standard ultrasounds at the hospital as well- I think around 8 weeks to confirm I was pregnant and 20 weeks to see the sex of the baby?

I had 4. Two were dating scans – the first didn’t find a heartbeat, the second did thank goodness. Then we had a 12 week nuchal scan thing and a 20 week gender and anatomy scan.

Edit; I voted 3 by accident.

I’m not yet full term so I didn’t vote, but I’m 32 weeks and have had two ultrasounds. I won’t have any more unless any issues pop up.

ETA: The first was the NT scan at 13 weeks, then the anatomy scan at 18 weeks. I didn’t need a dating scan because I was charting and sure of my dates.

I am only 6 weeks and have already had 2 and I have one more scheduled for next week. This is only because I had to see a specialist to get pregnant so i think that are jsut checking everything out.. my OB does 3 i think: a dating scan, 12 week NT scan and 20 week scan.

For Dirty Delete2 born in December, just the 20 week anatomy scan.

For Dirty Delete1, we had a lot…like way too many.

I’m 31 weeks and have already had four. One early on just to make sure everything was AOK, the 12-week nuchal translucency test, 18-week anatomy scan, 24-week anatomy scan followup because they couldn’t get the face measurements at the 18-week appointment, and I will have an ultrasound every week in my last four weeks. So . . . a lot.

I am only 22 weeks, but I have had 5 and was told at my last scan that there won’t be any more unless the doctor needs/recommends it for some reason (i.e. an issue arises).  I had one dating scan with my regular gyno at 7 weeks, then another at 10 weeks with the OB (my gyno doesn’t deliver babies so I had to change docs and they basically started me over at that office, so that was sort of like an extra u/s I think most people wouldn’t get).  Then the NT scan at 12 weeks, another u/s at 16 weeks, and the official anatomy scan at 20 weeks.

I accidentally voted for 4 because I forgot to count the first one at first!

I had one at 11 weeks, then 19 weeks (and found out the sex) then at 36 weeks (3d ultrasound!)

33 weeks and two so far, soon to be three. The norm around here is two scans and then a third if you are 40 weeks + overdue.

12 weeks – NT scan (optional)
    18 weeks – anatomy scan
33/34 weeks – my baby is breech and measuring small so it’s just precautionary.

I had the usual 12 and 20 week scans.  There was an anomaly on the 20 week scan, so I was referred to a perinatologist who did another one.  I then pursued a second opinion, which meant another scan.  We were in a car accident at 26 weeks, so they scanned me then too, to make sure the baby was okay (slight placental abruption, but otherwise fine).  The anomaly was a cyst that we planned to treat after birth, so we had to keep an eye on it to monitor size, so that was another couple of scans.  I think we did about 7 total.

I had one ultrasound a week after my babies were diagnosed with TTTS at 18 weeks.

I’m 23 weeks and I’vd had about 8 so far. I’ve had a few emergencies and I’m a hig risk pregnancy so I have an ultrasound to monitor her growth once a month. Not the norm at all.

    Lets see:

    Dating Ultrasound

Switched hospitals and they made me do it again

    NT scan

    3D gender

    Anatomy Scan

One at 32 weeks when I was admitted for dehydration

Then one to check baby’s position

Then another one to check position again and fluid volume

    So yeah 4+

I’m only 11.5 weeks, but I’ve had 3 so far, and have my NT scan next week. Then I will have at least one more at 18-22 weeks for my anatomy scan. My OB is just ultrasound-happy I think – pregancy has been totally normal so far, just had an “extra” ultrasound to precisely date the lil guy.

So by 40 weeks, at least 5.
