We got 1 scheduled arounf 20 weeks and it’s the only one they do.
However, they couldn’t detect a heartbeat on my first appointment at 8 weeks and they thought my uterus was smaller than expected. I had a just in case emergency ultrasound scheduled at 8 weeks because of that, thank you tilted uterus…

I only got one when I was 20 weeks with my first.
With my second I got 3, 6weeks (vaginal to confirm pregnancy), 12 weeks for NT scan and 20 weeks
With my third I got 4. 6 weeks vaginal, 12 weeks NT, 20 weeks gender and stuff and 30 weeks because I was measuring small.

So far I have had one at my 8 weeks, 16 week (couldnt find a good HB reading with doppler) and I will have another at 20 weeks for the anatomy scan.
I was told that insurance only covers extra u/s (besides 8 weeks and 20 weeks) if there is an issue like not getting a good HB reading, etc. We are also paying out of pocket for 2 additional scans, one that we had last week to check gender and the other around 30 weeks for the 3D/4D scan.
I was surprised to find out there werent more ultrasounds during pregnancy. I guess they dont need to see the baby as much as I do!
