Well right now being long distance, one of us has travelled to the other 3-4 times a year, and those are pricey international tickets, though I guess we don’t have to pay as much on hotels since we stay in each other’s flats.
Once we’re married and together I imagine we’ll take one trip back to the States every year or two, and we plan to go to various places in Europe and Asia at least twice a year. Travel is really important to us.

So far this year I have been on one international trip (two weeks – holiday) and three domestic trips (four weeks – holiday; one week – work; and two weeks – holiday).
I’m off on another work trip this Sunday (one week) and am in the process of booking a domestic trip for September (one week) and three international trips in December/January. (all two weeks; 6 weeks total).
So all up, by the end of the year I will have been on a total of eight trips – four international and two domestic holidays over 15 weeks (13 weeks paid holidays and two weeks unpaid) plus two weeks for work.
Next year we’re planning on going on only going on one international holiday in the middle of the year (two weeks) as we want to go to Central America at the end of the year for three months. I’ll also be travelling domestically every five weeks to see SO as he’s moving back to the city.

We do 2 big international trips (3-4 weeks), 2 smaller international trips (1-2weeks), 3-4 domestic interstate trips (3-4 day weekends) and lots of local weekend trips expecially during summer to the beach or mountains.
We are lucky in that we have great leave entitlements.

We went on one last year. This year we have none planned but he’s going on a guys trip to LA and I went to Reno one weekend, nothing crazy.
It would be nice if we were both able to take off work at the same time so we could vacation together, his LA trip is when I’m in school. But hopefully we’ll be able to plan a short fall trip. We’ve been wanting to go to Chicago for a while now.

We try to do at least one international trip a year. The weather is so bad here it feels like a necessity (really!!!!). I try to go places where the weather is good. One year I went to New Zealand during the winter but stopped in Bali on the way home for my sun 🙂
This year I’ve been to Vietnam&Dubai (Honeymoon), Germany and Austria (last week) and I have a trip to Amsterdam planned. I’ve been spoiled this year!

Usually two. 2010 was France and then Guatemala/Belize. (Hmmm, though we also went to Montreal/Tremblant for NYE at the beginning of the year.) 2011 was an exception because we got married, so we just went up to Maine for our mini-moon. 2012 was a long weekend in Napa/Sonoma and then our delayed honeymoon to South Africa and Zimbabwe. And 2013 was Germany in February and France planned for August.
But, now I’m pregnant so I don’t expect much travel in 2014!

1-2 big trips. The occasional weekend getaway but less now that we have the doggy.
