Ok last question about this I swear lol! I’m getting personalized water bottles and hand fans for the outdoor ceremony. These things will be in a basket along with the programs for guests to take or leave as they wish. I doubt everyone will want one, especially the guys. For 90 people, how many of each do you think I need?

I think you’ll go thru more water than you will fans. I voted 90 waters, 70 fans.

Neither of those are favors per se since they are required for an outdoor wedding. You will go through at least twice as much water as fans. Have enough fans for everyone and 2-3 bottles of water per person.

Is the reception indoors and just the ceremony outside? because if so just go with 90 waters and 70 fans.

I have never used a fan at a wedding. I say 90 waters, better to have too many that not enough. But if you run out of fans (doubtful), I suppose people could always used their programs.
I say 90 waters, and fans depending on how hot/humid it’s supposed to be. 60 or so? Or just 45, half your guest list. Of course, if they’re really cute fans, I bet alot of people would want one, versus strictly functional fans.

I think maybe more waters than fans, seeing as how guys wont be using fans lol

I had fans at my wedding and some people did not use them, well mainly the stuck up guys. Ok boys I even had the ribbons in green for boys and pink for girls! I had a very small ceremony and I went home with quite a few but it was cool so i scrap booked them and other stuff. I would definetly go with a bottle of water per guest. And maybe if you have a few older guests like grandparents, I would suggest maybe 2 each.

Thanks everyone- it’s only the ceremony that’s outside. Reception is in a restaurant next door. The ceremony is only 20 minutes, so counting the time that people arrive and mingle before I walk down the aisle, people will be outdoors for maybe 45 minutes total. So I think 2-3 waters per person is a little overboard, they’d seriously have to be chugging that water through the whole ceremony to drink that much lol! I think I’m going to go with the 90 waters, 70 fans (or maybe less fans, even. They aren’t that cute…) Thanks!

I don’t think you’d need more than half the amount of fan as guests. Most guys aren’t going to want to use one. I’d do something like 45 fans and 90 waters. The waters aren’t going to get wasted, as you can drink them some other time… but fans aren’t going to serve much of a purpose, after the fact.
