Found my dress at the first, after seeing it online. but didn’t buy it, went to another store, and went back to the first.

One!  First day out I found my dress.  I was happy about that.  At the end of the day it’s just a dress…

Three. But I knew the third dress shop had the dresses that I had been admiring. One and two were in my hometown and both offered something different abd wanted to ensure I’d covered all bases.

2 shops and maybe tried on 15 dresses… it was the last dress I tried on

7 shops… the first two were more for fun and to try on different shapes. I was never intending to buy anything at them.

Out of the remaning 5: 4 were in the city where I live and 1 store was in my hometown so that I could take my Future Mother-In-Law. She has 3 sons and no daughters so it might be her only opportunity to have that experience.

There was 1 serious contender in my city and 1 contender from my hometown… but in the end, I went with a Hayley Paige where I currently live. (It was not a dress I ever intended to try on and opposite of what I thought I wanted but ended up being the one that spoke to me).

2. But I ordered it from a 3rd shop because it was less expensive.

2 shops and probably 15 dresses. I kind of wanted to go to more because it’s so much fun!

About 10 shops and 70 dresses 😳 But the final result of finding “the dress” made it all worth it! I should also note that I went by myself as I didn’t want anyone else’s opinion to sway me. I had fun with it!

epon10642:  Right???  I went into it knowing what I wanted and knowing what looked good on me.  I knew mermaid would look stupid on me, I knew I didn’t want anything super form fitting, I knew I didn’t want a crazy poofy ball gown, I knew I didn’t want tulle…I know what I look good in because of what I wear on a daily basis.  Granted my vision was to have a v neck and I ended up having a strapless sweetheart because it fit everything I wanted besides not having straps.  When I told my consultant what I wanted she was great at pulling dresses that fit that criteria.  Personally I think going to 5 or more dress shops is a bit crazy.  I invited my mom, my bridesmaids, and my now mother in law.  It was a fun day but I went in with the intention of finding a dress that day.  I wasn’t about to have my crew come out for more than one trip.  It was important to have everyone there and it was special to me that they were all there when I made my decision.  I think if you go in without a vision and not knowing what you are looking for it’s easy to be dissuaded.

2 shops and about 5 dresses at each one. My dress was the second dress at the second shop. 🙂 We also had a four month engagement, so I was in no position to drag out the decision!

One shop, and the first dress I tried on was the dress I chose at the end of the appointment.
