About 300 total, but all were fully edited. We also did not have our photographer stay for our reception, and got all our main pics done prior to the wedding itself, we did the first look thing. What we did isn’t for everyone, but we were really happy with the images.

kwbride2015: I love that photo. It’s so true, even the most beautiful person will still look like this a few times, especially at an event like a wedding. I try to spare my clients :-p
I couldn’t agree with you more on your second comment, Some people are just more active, inspiring, or just plain approachable. Sometimes people forget that photographers are people too, if people are heavly sighing or have a not too pleased look on their face as I ask them to gather round for a picture, I personally wouldn’t likely photograph them too much more; it’s clearly obvious those people arent picture people. Not to say that the OPs grandparents were rude but just as an example. We walk a fine line keeping our couple happy and not annoying the guests who are there for a good time.
MrsPhishBee: Maybe that could have affected the outcome as well.

- Wedding: August 2015 - Southern Plantation House
We got around 750 fully edited images, all on a flash drive with full rights to copy & print. A couple of these are duplicates (black & white vs. color). We booked our photographer for 7 hours.

250 edited (although some of these were blurry/not good pictures) plus an additional 500 extras. Some of the extras were great shots. 5 hours, photographer left after we cut the cake.
Email your guests individually and ask if they got any good photos and could they email them to you. You can even send the guest a picture of them in the email. We got some great pictures from guests (other angles, pictures at cocktail hour while we were with photographer) and I don’t think they ever would have sent them to me if I didn’t ask. A lot of the guest pictures were on phones and not great quality, but two people did get some ones. My friend got a nice one of my dad handing me the bouquet that my photographer missed.

- Wedding: July 2015 - Beautiful place.
6000.. We had lots of pictures!!! But the photographers sent us officially 2000, we could pick the ones we liked better. So I have a pen drive with 6000 plus the ones hat was used to make the photo album. They were full edited, and where live the photographer, videographer and any other professional we hire stays until the end of the wedding, my photographers and videographers were with me from 4pm till 3am. Of course they had full dinner, break, a table set for them etc.. 🙂 x

MrsPhishBee: Let her know you are sad and exactly what you wish you had– she might have more photos she didn’t like that she will now present you. Dont’ be afraid to tell your photographer what you are thinking. I ended up being VERY honest with my photographer (who did nothing wrong) and something wonderful came of it– she digitally manipulated some images to fix an issue I had (that had nothing to do with her photography!) I felt very silly speaking up but now I am very glad that I did. A good photographer wants to make you happy and if she can she will give you more photos.

278 fully edited and beautiful, not a dud in the bunch! We didn’t have a reception, so this was plenty. Very happy with the quantity and quality.
