I was 4 weeks and 3 days when I got my positive test, but I hadn’t tested before then.  I spent a night throwing up and decided I should take a test the next morning and sure enough – knocked up!

I still got my period when I was pregnant with my son, then I missed one and took a test. A week later I got an ultrasound that said I was 11 weeks. With my second baby, we were trying so I knew all the symptoms to look for. I noticed my sense of smell was out of this world so I took a test that can predict pregnancy before you miss your period and it said I was pregnant.

I was so impatient that I tested the day that AF was due!  haha!

So I guess 4 weeks ๐Ÿ™‚

I was… 4 weeks along?  That can’t be right.  But according to the calendar, our conception date is exactly four weeks from the date I tested.  Weird.

@Mrs. Spring: that does seem odd, do you typically have long cycles?  Doesn’t 4 weeks post conception really mean about 6 weeks post last missed period?

I was 4 weeks and 3 days since the start of my last period.

@Bostonsmom:wow that used to be one of my biggest paranoias — that i would get pregnant and have no idea because i was still getting my period. at least you didn’t have to wait very long to tell people!

I found out before I missed a period because I bowled really, really well at league. When I tested, it said I was pregnant and my period was several days away. Granted, I have no idea how many weeks I would’ve been, but basically as early as possible. Even the doctor was surprised. Guess that happens with second babies sometimes.

@SecretName: You’re correct. They consider “how far along your are” based on your last period start date. So naturally anyone testing right around their missed period will be in the 4 week stage (if you have semiregular cycles). Sounds weird but doctors do this bc its harder to pinpoint ovulation and conception for everyone.

@SecretName:  Yes!  Ok, that’s why it didn’t sound right to me.  I was 6 weeks along.  ๐Ÿ™‚  I “just knew” the day we concieved, so I didn’t even test until I went to make a doctor’s appointment.  For future reference, a doctor will not see you based on “intuition”; they will ask you to take a test.  ๐Ÿ™‚

@Mrs. Spring: *giggle* that’s when you lie and say it was positive! (oh, I’m a bad bad person, aren’t I? LOL!)

My Fiance knew when I had concieved but he didn’t tell me! in fact… he kept saying I wasn’t, since we both were in denial, I didn’t know until I was 3 months pregnant with our daughter, lol.  Something about a disfunctional gallbladder and misery… ๐Ÿ˜‰  I didn’t test until after I missed my period with my son, so I’m the last person to ask about this, lol.

Anywhos, I’ve been wondering this myself!

I was 3 weeks and 3 days (12 DPO) when I got my BFP.  I had been charting and I’m impatient so I always tested around that time even though 2 days before I’d gotten a BFN.
