We are doing welcome bags for our guests coming to our destination wedding in Florida. Our guests are staying at various condos and many friends are renting condos together so we will be hand-delivering them as our guests arrive the week of our wedding.
Should we make a bag for every guest or for couples only? What about the friends who aren’t traveling as couples?

@IUrebekah3RT: you have a couple of options. you can make a bag for each guest or you can make bags and double up the contents if they are going to a couple. i’m not sure what type of bag you are getting but if they are inexpensive, i’d go with the one bag per guest. it would probably make it easier for you.

@mypinkshoes: Thanks! I plan on ordering canvas bags & making cute iron-on’s with sayings like “Plan for a tan”, “Pack the flip-flops”, “Take me to the beach”, etc.
I’m not super crafty so I have a backup plan:
I still want to order the canvas bags, but thought about making these tags to attach instead:
What do you think?

@IUrebekah3RT: those canvas bags are great. personally, i think that i would get more use from them if they were left blank. therefore, i really like the idea of just adding the little tags. you can still put the cute saying on the tags.

I plan to do welcome packs for the extreme ooters [not the people that are only a half hour away – the ones that are 200+ miles away, and staying overnight]. I believe that’s i’m going to do it woven basket-style. And it’ll be done per hotel room reserved [some families are renting cabins togehter, 2-3 familes in each cabin]. Since our guests will be staying 2 nights, 3 days, we will have all sorts of items. Maps, directions, candies, food, fruit, hygiene supplies, mints, gum, ect. Probably some home made fudge & other goodies.

@mypinkshoes: That’s a very good point! Thanks!! I think I’ll be able to splurge for some nicer canvas bags instead of buying cheap ones too. Thanks 🙂

I would think that giving bags to couples would be more practical. Unless you have certain people attending alone.

We made 1 bag per room….so usually that means one couple per room! It’s def more practical going that route. We had a small Destination Wedding wedding and we only had 1 single guest and she got her own bag but everyone else shared a bag per room!

Great ideas here, I was wondering the same thing.. I think I am going to do one page per room unless I know that guests will be sharing a room.
