I registered for 12. I guess I never thought about why.

We did 10 wine glasses because we took our best guess at how many would fit in our wine tower. Turned out to be right! I got way too frustrated trying to choose place settings (and how many?) that we didn’t even register for plates and are using our old (nice, but cheapo) ones. Maybe one day soon we will upgrade on our own!

I think we registered for 12  and then 6 champagne glasses. We did 6 stemmed glasses, 6 stemless glasses and 6 champagne glasses. We already have a good amount of wine glasses and then we got all the ones we registered for and now we have a plethora. I think 6-12 is a good amount!

I did 12 -because I figured I’d always want 8 (I currently have 8 place settings), and the extra 4 were for breakage.

I registered for six long stemmed red wine and six long stemmed white wine glasses, 8 tumblers, 6 champagne saucers and 6 champagne flutes.

6 white, 6 red, and 6 for all other glasses- martini, margarita, juice, etc. Why? We just felt like 6 was an acceptable number.

We registered for 12 because we registered for 12 of everything. We didn’t get red and white – we got all the same kind. We only got 8 off our registry but that’s enough for us, since we already had some others.

8 goblets, 4 stemless wine glasses, and some champagne flutes. We got 8 because we asked for 8 places settings.
