I don’t have a budget but I wouldn’t feel right spending thousands and thousand it is only one dress for one day after all.

Went shopping with a budget of $2500, dress was $1700. Not sure what alterations will cost but the bodice will have to be taken in quite a bit.

You’ve left a lot of options out of your poll – people in the $1000-$1500 range, the $3500-$5000 range. Over $5000 is NOT in any way “no budget”, mine was just about $5000.

I had a replica made of a Pnina Tornai dress that normally retails for $20K. I paid $350 for the replica and another $30 for a hoop skirt from eBay because we live in South America and I didn’t want to be baking under layers and layers of fabric (which is what the seamstress originally was going to do). Haven’t done veil or accessories yet but I’ll probably order the veil online for no more than $50.

I paid just under $1200 about 4 years ago (for a previous engagement). I intend on wearing it still.

Off the rack, blush lace sheath gown with a cream satin underlay and light beading. $400 marked down to $135. Dress shopping was done in two hours. Never thought I’d find one that wrangled my boobs so well, it’s a real miracle.

You also have to remember you need alterations too. And everything is taxed! At least in Ny it is.
