A DJ for the Minneapolis area is anywhere from $1,000 to $3,000. We are paying just shy of $1,200 for ours and that is with a discount for the DJ being a friend of mine .

We’re paying $975 for 5 hours of coverage and 3 separate set-ups (ceremony, cocktail hour and reception are all in different locations at the same venue).

ETA: We’re from Upstate, NY.

Getting married on long island and we are paying $850 for a pianist for the ceremony and cocktail hour and Dj for the reception.  There are some great deals out there if you know where to look for them.

We got lucky and are only paying $600 on account of the fact that it’s a friend of Fiance.  He typically charges more.
