I’m curious how much everyone is spending on hair/make up and the trials if you’re getting any?
We opted to have the make up artist come to the hotel where we’ll be getting ready, but we’re going to the salon to get hair done first. I’ve seen the prices vary drastically. What are you paying.
Sorry for the wonky poll. Feel free to explain your answers below!
My make up artist is charing me $75 for the day-of and $50 for a trial. Girls are $60 and moms are $50.
For hair, i’m getting a few quotes so far, the lowest starting price being $50 and up depending on style/length, and its the same price for a trial.
The highest I was quoted was $80 for day-of and trial, but others will offer a trial at half price.
Ahhh the cost of looking beautiful!!

I paid $120 for my hair and make up. This included the trials and wedding day for both!

My hair and makeup trial cost the same as it will the day of. I am paying $60 for hair and $50 for makeup.

I only had my hair done the day-of and it was $40. I think my trial for hair and makeup was something like $70.

$100 each for hair and airbrush make-up, and my trials were the same price as the day-of. I also have to pay a travel fee because there are no independent stylists or MUAs based in the small town where I am getting married. Even with the travel fee, this is still a good deal in this area. Larger on-site companies charge $150-200 for hair and $125-$150 for make-up, and they had larger travel fees because they are based even farther away, and they had larger bridal party minimums.

OMG you guys are lucky! I paid $180 for hair and makeup, not including a trial (I didn’t do one – I knew and trusted my stylist). Plus a generous tip. But it was worth every penny.
I talked to some cheaper stylists (more in the $80-100 for hair and makeup range), and they weren’t really willing or able to do what I wanted. I am SO glad I went with high quality over cheap (it was my one big splurge for the wedding – no favors, no accessories, no pretty shoeclips… but man do I look pretty in the photos!).
