Hey Bees, just curious, how much are the tux rentals for your guys?
We just picked ours out and they come to just under $200. I thought that was insane, but Fiance says it’s what he’s paid in the past when he was in other weddings.
At least us ladies get to KEEP our dresses, jeez!

Our guys paid around $160 I believe. DH’s tux was free since more than 5 guys rented from Men’s Wearhouse.

ours were $140 pp with the groom tux free. We paid for the Groomsmen tuxes since they are traveling from out of town and they are financially struggling.

Ours is around $30, because we have so many rentals we get 2 free tuxes. Fiance gets one and my brother gets the other :).

I think ours were around $200 (maybe $220? I can’t recall if we got discounts or not) but the men are all immediate family that were fine with the price.

our guys are not renting tuxes. . we’re going with black suits
but the last time Fiance stood up in a wedding (9/2010) he paid almost $190.00 to rent the tux

I think the gm are paying just over $200… like… $215 and it includes all the accessories.
My Fiance is buying the same tux the guys are renting for ~$350 or so. That way he gets to keep it and he’ll finally have a tux to wear to black tie optional/black tie events.
Eta: He’s also buying his so that he can get a good fit. My fiancé is triangle shaped (ow ow!), so he will want the chest and waist of the jacket tailored. He will never get a good fit from a rental.

we got qioted for $170, but found the exact same ones for $90 🙂 When Fiance stood up in a wedding he paid 190

I’m almost certain they paid around $160.

- Wedding: June 2012 - Franklin Plaza
I think ours came in right under $200. We paid for a portion of it though because we thought it was nuts for the guys to spend that much — especially when the girls only spent like $100 – $125 on their Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses!

We got ours at Men’s Wearhouse for $130 (for the whole shebang). Because we have so many gents renting, my fiance will get his for free.

Yikes!! For 300-400 we bought DH’s tux.
My GMs rented theirs for $75 and I still felt bad about it.

I don’t see the point in renting. Black tie events exist. Ergo, a man ought to own a decent tuxedo. They’re not even much more expensive than renting.

our buys paid 120 & groom was free with over 5 rentals.

The grooms was $6 for the insurance, and the 7 groomsmens tuxes are 131 each. I thought that was high……until now.
